I know how the general population of this site feels about Social Networking ("oh noez overrated websites nevar join i h8 ppl boo whine im antisocial ninny intercourse that im not conforming") but let's talk about'em.
Myspace, Facebook, Twitter - What do we like about these sites?
Do you add people you don't know in real life?
Do you only add close friends and family?
If you dislike them, why, exactly?
I used to use Myspace religiously, but I've converted to Facebook like everyone else. I know 98% of all the people I add or accept requests from in one way or another, and anyone else are people I'm just interested in talking to. I find these sites to be a good way to keep in touch with people, especially now after graduating High School, since I've lost touch with alot of people. Even if I was never too close with some of these people, every now and then I get a good conversation out of some of them. I keep my myspace active in case some people haven't switched to facebook yet.
Twitter however, I find to be intercourse ing retarded. It's for the narcissistic, and is entirely unnecessary.
I only use Facebook. It helps me keep in touch with friends who go to college out of state, among other things.
The other two are ridiculous though.
Oh, sure. I use the Facespace and Mybook all the time.
They're fine as long as you don't get to addicted to them. They're not all that much different from using IMs, froums, email, etc. So I don't really the problems with them, though some people do tend to get overly involved with them.
Myspace: I have one but never really used it at all.
Facebook: I check every pretty often as most of my friends use it but I don't really do anything but play a few games on there.
Twitter: I just use to get updates on some releases for things I follow online, I don't actually do any tweeting though.
And for facebook I only add people that I know in real life when they add me though.
I use Facebook. It's pretty cool.
I have a Myspace, but I don't use it... I always have Facebook open in a tab. It's just so much easier to use than Myspace and not pointless like Twitter.
I love Facebook <3
I rarely use MySpace anymore. And I use Twitter, but I'm not on it very often.
I keep in touch with certain people via Facebook and most people here use it organize events.
lolno
Too many people IRL are complete idiots. People IRL generally use social networking sites.
So, yeah.

I gotta say, there are a poop ton of idiots on internet forums as well. At least on facebook they have real life accountability, and I don't have to "friend" them if I don't want to interact with them.
So, yeah, I use Facebook. I try and make it a point never to discount something just because a lot of people like or enjoy it.
hint: this can be considered a social networking site
Facebook is the only SN site that I use at all; I check it maybe once a day. I intercourse ing loathe Twitter and Myspace.
I used to frequent Myspace all the intercourse ing time. Buuuut.. meh, intercourse it. I rarely pop by there anymore.
I guess you can say I go on Facebook more often. But I usually forget that I have it, and Hero has to bug the ever-loving-poop outta me to actually get me to log on.
I use Facebook to keep in contact with my family and friends. Especially since all my friends are basically in the Army, and they've all been sent to different points on this God darned planet. And rarely do I accept friend requents from people I don't know. Even if they're friends of friends, if I don't know them, hard cheese.
Also, Dark Link, I demand you give me the picture you're using as your icon. I need a better wallpaper on this computer.

As you wish. (http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/view/367104/)
Had a myspace, got rid of it. Just so juvenile now and moved on to Facebook. As for Facebook, I use it all the time. Mainly to just connect with people from High School now that I'm in college or make plans and talk with people that I know in College. Overall my only problem really with Facebook is the people who are app whores.
Site's fine for me; It gets what I need done. Most of my RL friends would be creeped out if I was to contact them on the internet in any way asides from a select few. I just mostly ignore the stupid discussions.
Also the groups are horrendous. If I was to put anything as my number 1# complaint about the site it's groups; People join some of the craziest poop on there and MAKE some of the craziest poop on there. Not that I actually expected a more clean discussion on a site with millions of people but yeah.
LOL JOIN MY GROUP IF I GET 1M PEOPLE MY GIRLFRIEND WILL MARRY ME. < Perfect example right there.

you're suppose to use it to chat with rl friends not actually view the discussions.
That's true TK...lately stupid groups have exploded in popularity... People make a group for every little occurrence that happens and then some people for some reason feel obligated to join every one of these stupid groups.

REDPAIGE WE MISSED YOU D:
Don't use any of it. If I wanted to be stalked you'd all know my face and address.
Stalking for Dummies.
That said, I'll be getting fb soon because I sort of need to harass people about things, and it's the best approach.
I use Facebook, maybe a little too much but whatever.
The whole becoming a fan of things is just a fad just like the quizzes were. Someone will eventually find something else and everyone will move onto that.
As for Twitter, I only use it to follow things, such as the people doing Black Mesa Source. When that comes out I'll know. Works like an RSS feed that comes to me.
I use facebook, since I have a lot of friends that i don't see every day. It helps me keep in touch with everyone I know from another district, or even state. I have quite a few people from far across the country.

I use Facebook a lot, simply because it's a time waster. Also, keeping my friend count at 69 is fun.
