New videos show the 360 version of the Grinder is no longer an FPS...instead, it is a top down shooter. The Wii version has had no announcements about it thus far, but I imagine they won't be making two separate games.
Does top-down wreck what you saw in The Grinder?

Yes, that does considerably.
Where are those videos?
THE GRINDER: Grinding down mack's disappointments one step at a time.
...But really that's just disappointing. It seems like they're actually trying to make this title completely uninteresting. Only time will tell how they'll grind down hype more.
You know, this had the chance to redeem what was lost with The Conduit. Then it became multi-platform. And now it's a top down shooter?
Well, if it's still an FPS for the Wii, then not all is lost.
Didn't care in the first place when it was announced.
When it was a Wii exclusive: Better shooters on the other two systems up the wazoo.
When it went multiplatform, STILL better shooters on the PS3/360 so meh, I'll forget it even existed just like I forgot it existed right after it got announced.
Some may frown at me, but what is a top down shooter?
Top-down you say?
NO NOT WANT!
I would have gave it at least a rent if it was FPS. ;-;
That's just silly.

Oh my god... That's pretty screwed up now...
As it stands, the only thing that will save it for me is the Wii version being a FPS. I was contemplating playing another version up to this point...but now it is Wii or bust.

No. It is bust.
This was going to at most be a decent FPS in general and at least a kinda good wii exclusive; But even then just being a FPS doesn't save it since there's so many with this generation.
Then we had it multi-platform which the focus will dwindle down to all a lot.
Then we had a delay (Well like this matters you'll all get it eventually)
Now we have this.
It won't magically change genre's and unless there's a good reason for it to it won't.
This is bust and until someone gives any other good reason why or it comes out and does amazing I shall still stand by that.

Considering they were mostly done Wii development, I can't imagine them completely retooling it just because the other versions are. That's the thing. More so, it will obviously be better than The Conduit - an average game. In terms of the game itself, if it stays a Wii FPS, will likely be good. But based on the online of The Conduit, that online will be amazing.
The delay is a massive piss off. The multi-plat is excusable if Wii has unique things.

Wii dev: It's not that they'll retool it; It's that less focus will be put on it being a good wii game.
Why would it stay on as a FPS while being a different genre on other consoles? You never answered that.
...You forgot "Amazing for Wii online"

I did answer it. I said because it was largely through its dev. process, while they were just starting on PS3/360. That's why - the fact they had a ton of it done.
And no, not amazing for Wii online. Any time you incorporate four player co-op in a game like that, it has some great potential. The Conduit, in general, had a good online setup that negated the FC aspect of Nintendo. HVS needs to go with that approach again, boost their servers a little, and it will likely have comparable online to other services.

Well then I'm not too keen on how big the differences would be anyways but I'm quite mindintercourse ed If they did that. It would still be pretty awkward but we'll have to wait and see.
So It's either boring or decent Wii FPS. Wii-exclusive owners getting an at least somewhat decent shooter isn't so poop. Will at least be poop on the other two consoles most likely. I'm not fulfilling any hopes on this game but then again my hopes with the genre is very few.

I already did enough with the two to see you see my point. Unless you want to re clarify I already said enough there.
I was saying no to the fact it will be good for an online wii game. I'm saying as it stood, it should be generally good online. That was based on experience with Conduit, and the co-op.
