So, I was walking through the supermarket today, when I saw a bag of cheddar goldfish. That's right, the baked snack crackers. Remember those? I remember eating those way back in the late 90's. Back then, I thought goldfish were the greatest snacks ever. Like, NO OTHER SNACK on Earth was better. Not even regular crackers. Not even Oreos. Fucking goldfish kicked ass back then. Sure, it may look harmless. Just a small little fish shaped cracker smiling at you, right? But it was jam packed with
flavor. Those little crackers kicked serious ass.
Remember how this story started: he was in a supermarket.(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/8c/Goldfish_crackers.jpg/800px-Goldfish_crackers.jpg)Awww, crikey! They're everywhere!
...hey, this is my font size! Don't go around stealing it!
So, I bought them. Why not? It's been months since I've had goldfish. Thing is, the reason why I never bought them in a while is because they changed. The way they make goldfish, or maybe the ingredients...something just changed. Goldfish don't taste like that delightful cheese cracker anymore. They taste like a cracker with an odd baked aftertaste. Sometimes the aftertaste is cheesy, sometimes it isn't. All I know is that it's never been as good as it used to be.
And with it, a crucial part of MYL's childhood has been murdered, raped, and burned. In that order.I opened the bag when I got back, tasted one...and holy crap, it actually tastes good! I can actually eat the bag without having to take a sip of Pepsi every handful. It doesn't taste exactly like how I remember it (Because goldfish used to be so badass I still can taste the old ones), but it taste good enough to be edible. Of course, maybe it's just this bag or it's just me, but for the moment, I'm happy.
MYL's been having a very good day, just so you know.
He normally doesn't use exclamation points in his posts.Anyway, how many of you have had Goldfish many years ago? And on a similar note, what's your favorite snack to munch on?
Lol........
As you get older, your tastes change. What you like when you were younger, you may not like Months/Years later. What you hated, you may actually like years from now.
So, with that being said Don't worry so much. >_>;
Cheetos/Pringles (Cheesums) anything like that is just a good snack for me (Though I don't particularly have a taste for these gold fish)
Why did you stop eating them? I usually down a bag of goldfish on really lazy weekends.

They stopped tasting the same, so I stopped buying them. Only on occasion.
One day I started eating goldfish for lunch, and I suddenly dropped twenty pounds. So yeah, they're pretty bad ass.
Although it's probably because they filled me up so much that I didn't eat dinner for a while.
I only like cheddar flavor, though. Original isn't that great, and I don't really want some obscure pizza-flavored or chocolate graham crackers or anything like that.
I devour Mexican Corn Chips by the bag full.
They are the perfect dipping chip. whatever sauce you dip them in they automatically absorb the flavor and add it to their collective being like some sort of Borg Chip.
I like the original flavored ones and the pretzel ones.
The xtreme cheddar ones are pretty good too. The only problem is they get cheese powder all over your hands so it's better just pouring them from the bag into your mouth.
My only problem with Goldfish is that they make you EXTREMELY thirsty.
Otherwise, they're AWESOME.

oh god I know
But honestly snacks in general are amazing. I wish my mom would buy more but my sister is ADHD so she doesn't understand the definition of snacks ;-;
The color ones are the best.
Cheez-It's are better cheesier

Thy're alright I guess. No nostalgia factor for me. Not like Munchos.

FUCK YEAH MUCHO'S.
My Dad used to get them, and they were his chips and not for us kids. So when we snuck some they were ambrosia. No, when I buy a bag, it's hard not to eat them all at once. Kinda messes up your tongue if you do so, though.
