Title: Favorite First Party series?
Post by: The Riddler on March 27, 2010, 01:26:56 PM
Nintendo clearly has all other companies beat out when it comes to first party titles.  They always have.
So, what's your favorite?

Mario, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Pokemon, Mother, Yoshi, Nintendogs, F-Zero, Other?
There are so many to intercourse ing list.

Kirb... oh wait :(

I would have to go with Metroid, followed CLOSELY by Mario (if it didn't have all these stupid games coming out, it would be 1)

Zelda, Metroid, and Kirby are my top three favorites, in that order.

1.Mario RPG's (Seperated enough because it's worthy of that - All are some of the best on there consoles cept SPM)
2.Golden Sun
3.Mother/Earthbound
4.Smash Bros.
5.Mario Platformers
6.StarFox
7.Fire Emblem
8.Pokemon
9.F-Zero
10.Metroid/Zelda/Animal Crossing/Pikmin/Too hard to just pick one

Eh not exactly in any particular order asides from 1#. I'm rather tired now but for Zelda I'll just say I never found the games all that amazing; Some of em however were at least darn close to the hype. I guess this partly comes from being a huge RPG fan as well and Pokemon making it's recent bounce back with me playing the spin-offs again.

I believe that one is made by Camelot.

Definitely Mario. I remember playing Super Mario World and Mario 64 all day. Good times. <3

Mario and Zelda, Mario World was the first video game I ever played, and it's been awesome ever since, Zelda, I wasn't a fan at first, I don't know why, then I played and beat Wind Waker and had to play more.

Nintendo owns the right to Camelot last I checked.

Old Donkey Kong.  Country 1-3 were awesome, as was 64.  Pokemon would have to be my favourite now.  WarioWare is a close second.  Kirby is pretty good too.

1. The Legend of Zelda
2. Super Smash Bros.
3. Pokemon
4. Super Mario Bros. (only because of Sunshine, Mansion, and the first two Papers)
5. Star Fox (screw Command, though)
6. Kirby (would like more if the made a freaking 3D adventure already!)
7. Metroid

That doesn't count. Otherwise I could've picked Noise because they made the Custom Robo games.

Oh yeah first party; in that case good 1/3rd of my list is gone.

This should however count second parties. If it still doesn't my list stays the same asides from crossing out second parties.

Legend of Zelda, definitely. Ever since I was a kid I liked it (although when I was a kid, Pokemon probably beat all with Zelda as a close second).

Mario and Zelda.

Mario mainly because of SMB3, Mario 64, and Paper Mario

Zelda mainly for Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask

Star Fox. It's an amazing series, well, the first three (counting SF2) were. Assault kept the bar high, and Adventures completely reshaped it. I liked the premise of advancement, but it was too soon with nothing in between. Then, of course, there is Command - the game that will need to be ignored for any future game to come out with. Still, the first Star Fox is why I learned to read.

What? This would be the last game where you needed to read since you could hear what the text says.

P-p-pokémon is the s-s-shiznit, ddawg!
Pokémon, duh.
The only correct answer to this question is pokémon.

I couldn't think of any creative way to answer with pokémon.

You know, I was and I forgot, but regardless I never answered my own question.

Fuck you for being the one to realize it. I caught this last night and just ignored it.
