Title: Golden Sun
Post by: Thirdkoopa on March 28, 2010, 01:08:26 PM
Awesome JRPG/RPG, one of the best that shows the method of it, and everyone has there own role to why they're doing things instead of just "I'm the villain" unlike most other RPG's. Great character cast despite having the main two protagonists silent. (Isaac however talks in The Lost Age and Felix does in the first one)

1st and 2nd are amazing - Also they're connected in plot so if you get one, get Golden Sun before getting Golden Sun: The Lost Age. So who's buying Golden Sun DS? I know I am.

You get the idea at what I was saying with the protagonists

But yeah I should add the story part into the post. Still so excited for Golden Sun DS. The trailers look pretty nice but I have a feeling it'll be released on the 3DS. Good and bad in both ways for me I suppose.

Definitely one of the best games on the Game Boy line. I'm psyched for Golden Sun DS, and I already know I'm pre-ordering it.

...also, has anyone beaten Dullahan in The Lost Age? I still haven't.

I have. I was at a really high level though. High enough that I didn't need Psyenergy when fighting the last boss.

When my main line died I used the others to revive them and then used the main line to revive the back up line before I started attacking.

I used that cheat that lets you name everyone and named all the characters after my friends. They liked to know what was going on and got angry when I let them die...

Have both. Still haven't beaten either of them. They're definitely fun, but I just don't feel like playing through them I guess.

Sort of the same. But I will finish and buy DS.

Beating Dullahan conventionally is almost impossible. You gotta Summon rush.

Party A:
-Two characters each need to summon Charon in the first turn
-Other two characters each need to summon Thor first turn.
-Have Party attack until D kills all of them.

Party B:
-Spam Ulysses.

~If he casts Djinn Storm before a party manages to finish its summons, reset
~If he summons Charon before a party finishes its summons, reset
~If he otherwise kills a party member before he/she can summon, reset

There are other summon rushes you can use, some prefer Catastrophe/Daedalus, check GameFAQs.
