Title: Politics
Post by: Thirdkoopa on April 28, 2010, 06:21:13 PM
Not into politics much myself but I kinda find it odd a thread about it hasn't been posted here.

How about you? Republican, Democrat, or other (I forget the options right now dangit i'm tired)? If you're not in the US, where do you stand on your political system at said place?

I vote Democrat but I don't have a particular preference. I know what I believe in so I go by whoever is closest to my beliefs. Politics is all bullpoop though.

Also, I  have to write a 12 page paper about Obama's administrations stance on International Aid.

Fuck my life.

registered independent, lean more to the left, but I don't really like either side

I can't really pick a side. Both major parties have things I agree with but are completely insane in other areas. I can safely say that I am not a fan of foreigners, environmentalists, or China.

I've kind of taken my dad's political ideas for the most part. So, Democrat. Although when I register, I'll probably register as an independent.

I could write a two-page essay on what I believe, but no one would care or appreciate it, so, he's the two-sentence version.

Right-leaning Libertarian. Republicans make me lol, Democrats make me lol harder, and Socialists are delusional people who think that they can make the world perfectly fair for everyone even though life never has been nor ever will be fair.

Well, I would vote total republican if I didn't have a problem with their stances on abortion and gay rights...

and religion.  They're all religious nuts.  I registered as a democrat for that reason.

But then again, all democrats are raging atheists, which is arguably worse.

I'd appreciate the essay, seeing as one of my two majors is Poli. Sci.

I really have no attachment to any party, as my ideals are somewhat inconsistent. I'm generally Conservative and right-leaning. I want less government as a whole, but I believe it has a place. However, I'm not necessarily for getting rid of it (at least suddenly). My biggest issue right now is the failures of the government with what it does - especially with our high taxes. My school has no paper for use, or staples, or anything. My hospitals have huge ass wait lines. And, of course, my taxes are among the highest in the world. So, I give two options: fix the system, or privatize.

Wow. That's basically me right there. I don't really know what else to add.

Oh, and I'd love to see your essay.
