Use this thread to discuss external storage.
I just got a 1TB Seagate External HDD for my birthday. :)
2GB U3 Sandisk Cruzer
Had a 250GB HDD but it borked.
I have a handful of flash drives, between 1 and 8 GB. I also have a bunch of 4.7 GB Re-writable CDs I use to store pictures, etc.
I've gotten quite a collection of varying sized ones over the years. My primary jump drive is a one gig flash drive from Best Buy. Everything under the sun on it.
I have an 8 GB flash drive I store all of my pornography on, inside a folder named "Escape to Witch Mountain (1975)" because I thought that would be the least suspicious thing to hide porn in.
I have a 500gb western digital passport external hd, two 8gb pny drives, a 1gb pny drive, a few sandisk sd cards ranging between 1-4 gb, two 2gb micro sd cards, and a 4gb memory stick for my camera.
500GB external hard drive, I believe it's Western Digital.

What can you possibly fit on 1 GB?

Quite a lot, really.

Same.
I have 3 2GB flash drives, all HP (gave two away, my PNY one broke)
1 8GB U3 Sandisk Cruzer
1 4GB PNY flash drive (future home of lulz folder)
What do you need 1 terrabyte of data for? I converted my 1 GB flash drive into a Live USB booter thingy, and then lost it. I bought a 16 GB flash drive to replace it. Also, I have two 2GB microSD cards that I use for Wii and DS homebrew.
My videos. They cumulatively take alot of space. I'll never run out of space though and can essentially keep this thing forever.
I backed up my PC and my Laptop onto it, and just reformatted my PC.
All the people at school are jealous of me because I have N64 and SNES emulators and MGS and stuff on my Flash Drive. (Which I frequently play at school.)

Emulators are good for easy ways of getting people jealous.

Better hope no one ever wants to see that movie...

Image-wise, yes. My lulz folder didn't take up as much room as other files I backed up onto the flash drive. A desktop sized image is about 1 or 2MB. You can fit a whole movie on there as well and have
at least 200MB left over. I think the Touhou lossless albums (in .tta format) are around 450MB each, zipped of course. A lossy album is about 100MB.
I think 1GB = 1024MB, but I may be wrong.

Tell me about it. I was in web design. My friend was playing Robot Unicorn Attack, I was playing Ocarina of Time.
He's like, "DA FAWK?"

Not shown: a 4GB SD card in my camera.

Eh, if you're only using it for one thing I guess. My stuff won't all fit on a drive that small.
I have two 1 GB flash drives. had them for months and have yet to use either of them. i just store my stuff in an email that i can then reach from any computer at any given moment.
