Title: Gaming Sales: May 1-7th

click here to see more weeks, those specific overalls, and more (http://vgchartz.com/weekly.php)
And of course will be doing this every week.

Yeah yeah I know I procrastinated. April was generally uninteresting but you can see it from there. I'm convinced this will start to at least see somewhat more discussion now so here we go.

That's weird. More people bought SSF4 on PS3, when the 360 version is clearly superior. Also, how i s Peace Walker so far up there? Preorders? Or is it already out in Japan (Which would explain the high PS3 SSF4 sales)?

Maybe because most people think the system that costs the most has the better stuff.

Maybe it's because of all the people that ninny about the 360's d-pad. There's a reason the Left Stick is where it's at, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO USE THAT! Besides, you don't see Arcade cabinets with giant D-pads, do you? (no DDR)

I now know I'm a nintendo guy, I had to stop myself from typing control stick :P

The PS3 d-pad isn't that good either. I find it much easier to pull of moves with a 360 controller than with a PS3. Most of my favorite characters are unplayable for me on the PS3. And yes, I do have both systems.

Who the intercourse  uses the D-Pad for fighters anyways? Honestly, I pull moves off much easier with the Analog stick.

I usually use my Arcade Stick, but when I DO use the controller, I find myself using the analog stick with relative ease. The only people that want D-pads for fighters are the ones that are used to the old console ports of SFII. I was one of those people, but the analog sticks grew on me back in the DC days and I still like using them more even on the 360.

Jeez, last fighter I tried playing on a PS d-pad was Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on PSP. Not only could I not do a Shoryuken to save my life, but I wore out the pad in the process :S

I still have to alternate between them because I do some moves better with one or the other.

Back on topic though, I wonder how far up the rankings that SMG2 is gonna go?
