Title: A hypothetical question
Post by: SkyMyl on July 02, 2010, 03:31:22 PM
The veteran members have seen the forum through the years, how the quality of the topics have been, how the users have left and come, but now for a (somewhat whimsical, mostly serious) question.

If NSFCD was an RPG, one that spanned four discs and plot-wise, ended in the middle of July 2009, who would be the main characters of the story? The main hero, heroine (Even though we have very few female members), final boss, antagonist, traitorous ally, (OH WAIT) and so on.

Who would fill the typical character molds if NSF was an RPG?

Silver would be the main character of course. And that's all I care about this.

do we even have to say who the traitorous ally would be?

Hence why "OH WAIT" is in parenthesis.

Me?

(Lance from Red/Blue in case you couldn't tell)

One of the more final bosses, not quite the last one, as I'm not important on staff or anything. But I've been around since the beginning mostly, etc.

Mack would probably be the villain. He's always the real final boss in .def plot.
Doodle, Kilroy, and Sync would be the annoying recurring bosses.

Hero: Despite previously calling myself the main protaganist of NSF, I think the hero would have to be someone who's more involved in behind-the-scenes stuff, but not Silverhawk, because he has to be a NPC for proper plot progression.

Heroine: Either KJ or Shorti, depending on which path you take in the game.

Final Boss: Silverhawk.  He loses his mind July 3rd, and the heroes realize that the only way to save him is to cut him off from NSF.

Antagonist: EJRaven for the first two discs, ending with the death of the traitorous ally in the final boss fight of Disc 2.  After that, the line between hero and villain becomes gray, and depends on what path the player decided to take.  Finally, everyone but Silverhawk decides to end NSF for Silver's own health.

Main Hero: I really don't know. I think it should be someone from the userbase who has been here since around the beginning and very active... MYL could be a fun main character.

Heroine: We have to choose between Vive, Redpaige, Sh0rTi, and KJ. Take your pic.

Final Boss: Methinks Silver (for teh lulz) or Vaatix. But then we'd all lose :(. Custom, Doodle, and Sync for recurring villains.

Antagonist: Someone from NS2 maybe?

Traitorous Ally: trollface.jpg

My party would consist of MYL, Magnum, Rius, and Bluaki.

Oh god, and TK'd have a party of Me, Sky, Magnum, KJ, and Night.

TK is the protagonist, the leader of the group.
KJ is the token girl, and heroine of the story.
I'm the berserker... I rage.
Sky is the young, shy mage.
Night is anthropomorphic beast.
Magnum is the sarcastic badass with a heart of gold.
Kilroy joins the group but betrays us.

We need a name.

I'll be the random by-passer who gives you, the hero, a sidequest item to get the ultimate weapon through a long series of trades around the world (or internet).

And I'll give the protagonist a Blue Cucco Egg.

Riddler>   Once upon a time, in a land not too far away, there lived a man.
<Riddler>   That man was named TK.
<Riddler>   The evil wizard, Mace, had kidnapped T.K.'s love, Kay J., and T.K. set out to rescue her.
<Riddler>   On his journey, he met Kilroy, a young man from Aynayn. He was trained in the ways of stealth.
<Riddler>   The two fought perilous evils, and met Robbie Riddle: A wild berserker with the ability to rage
<Riddler>   Miles: A young mage and summoner with two personalities.
<Riddler>   Magnum: A sarcastic badass, with a heart of gold
   <Thirdkoopa>   This is entertaining so far y;
<Riddler>   and Night: A walking, talking animal.
<Riddler>   As they neared Mace's lair, Kilroy suddenly began to laugh maniacally.
<Riddler>   The party was shocked, what was going on?!
<Riddler>   Kilroy whistled, and from the blue three monsters attacked the group.
<Riddler>   Dodle, Sync, and IneSanity howled with laughter.
<Riddler>   Through their combined efforts, the party defeated the evil foursome and made their way into Mace's lair
<Riddler>   T.K. saw Kay J tied up and became furious. He rallied his party into attack mode
<Riddler>   Mace revealed himself from the shadows
<Riddler>   and put up quite the fight, but was defeated
<Riddler>   T.K. untied Kay J, and the six rushed from the building as it collapsed
   <Thirdkoopa>   what happened to mace
   <Thirdkoopa>   also it lacks light
<Riddler>   Suddenly, the world stopped turning, the sky went black
<Thirdkoopa>   but asides from that it's amazing
<Riddler>   A silver bird swooped down from the sky and knocked the entire party out cold.
<Riddler>   A dwarf happened to walk by and see the party unconcious, and dragged them all back to his watering hole.
   <Riddler>   His name was Light.
<Riddler>   Light nursed the party back to health and told them the story of how the Silver Hawk had been collaborating with Mace
<Riddler>   the twosome kidnapped the young woman because she had unfathomable powers
<Riddler>   She could turn any man into her slave.
<Riddler>   Kay J was angry, but T.K. calmed her down.
<Riddler>   The party decided to head out to destroy this evil once and for all.
<Riddler>   Would they be able to finish him?
   <Riddler>   DUN DUN DUN
<Riddler>   I THINK WE SHOULD MAKE A GAME

A few corrections:
-EJRaven is the Big Bad, but he's actually the penultimate boss of the game--it turns out all the time he was possessed by the Dark Spirit of Nsider Faggotry.

-Riddler wouldn't have an epic rage attack so much as he'd have an epic butthurt attack...preferably one called OMG DRAMU

-Gamemaster#### would have to make several appearances as a recurring boss that stays at the same strength throughout the entire game and thus becomes progressively more and more of a pushover.

-You also forgot to add a player character--one cynical, snarky, gay administrator mage.
