The only Spyros worth playing, and some of my favorite games ever. I've beaten all three, and while two and three are on the same level in terms of awesomeness, I have to admit that I didn't like the first one as much as the others.
Oh, and who else picked up the first Spyro games on the PS2/GCN and was shocked on how much it sucked? Same goes for the GBA. Only Insomniac should make Spyro games, but since Spyro can't hold a gun, they aren't interested. The GBA games are pretty bad.
In short, play the Spyros on the PS1, ignore all other Spyros.
I played the first. Badass game. Years later I played some Spryo on GCN, and I was like, wtf is this crap?
I remember playing a demo of one of the PS1 Spyro games, but I never bothered getting any of the Spyro games.
