How do you like it? At first it confused me. I mean, I start searching and then all of the sudden - whoa what the intercourse is this i dont even... but then I played around with it and realized that Google had updated their search engine, as they often do. I was expecting something to happen, since the day before they hinted at the change with their Google logo (a change that took place without any holidays, therefore it could only be foreshadowing).
Google themselves had this to say: "In time, we may wonder how search ever worked in any other way."
That quote made me think. What do you guys think about it? In a few years, will every search button be like this, and the "old way" of searching will have become obsolete? It's an interesting thought, and I could definitely see it happening.
I was all like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA when I saw it.
They changed the search engine a bit? I hadn't noticed.

That probably describes my mental reaction. It definitely surprised me.

You don't even have to press enter anymore. As soon as you type in one letter, Google loads to show you results. Apparently, it shaves off a whole two seconds compared to the old way.
That's pretty convenient.
I was like "WTF's going on!?" when it first happened. Then I looked at Google's little research and it said that it saved "2-5 seconds per search!"
LIEK ZOMG! I TOTALLY NEEDED THOSE FIVE SECONDS!
Anyway, I don't hate it...yet. But I didn't see anything wrong with how it was. now I'll just see a bunch of sites filling in for stuff I don't want while I type in the thing I WANT to search.
I like this feature. Refining searches will be easier now.
Seems really cool. I can see a lot of other browsers doing something "similar".
Though, I don't see what was wrong the "old way". Why don't they make it an OPTION, for those who just prefer it to stay the same (just in case it's not an option).
I guess it's pretty cool.
It annoys me immensely.
I don't care one way or the other, I heard news about it on the radio that they were gonna have some huge life changing update or something, and it ends up being something that will slowly make people even lazier?
I can see in the future, someone is gonna complain about something like "You actually have to press Enter in order for it to search, this sucks ass"
But yeah for me, I don't care.
It's alright. I don't have any feelings about one way or the other.
I guess I'm indifferent about it.
I'll miss pressing the enter button though.
It annoys me for some reason. At least it can be disabled.

That's nice to hear. Google thought of anything.
I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Although, Super makes a good point, it does make refining searches easier.
It's pretty cool.
