No this is not necessarily about Sonic 4.
I want to know how much you really care about poop like that. How much?
Do you care a little bit? Do you care a lot? Do you care so much that if it changes at all the game officially sucks? Do you not care at all?
What is "poop like that" you ask? Well, any small change that has no real change in anything except in your nerdy mind. Like eyes on a character, or whether a reincarnation switches the hand that they normally use (Link, OMG he's right handed, Zelda Wii sucks now), or maybe clothing color (OMG Mario's overalls are blue now the ga... wait, no one cares/cared about that for some reason), or maybe something else I can't think of right now?
I honestly don't care at all.
I never even noticed that Link was right handed in the Wii version of TP... until my friend pointed it out to me.
I also never realized Link was left handed until I found out it was wrong in TP.
Nobody cares that you don't care, JrDude.
I don't care for small changes like that. I don't even notice them.
Zelda Timelines are SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Series that don't need studying to understand and/or simply don't care, however, I don't particularly worry about. I personally like new Sonic's look. Also, red eyes on Super Sonic (new look) is a lot cooler than green eyes (old look).
"If the 'bad' changes are so small that you don't even notice them at first, what's the use in getting all worked up over it?" is how I go about this.
I do care to the point where it can keep something good from being better. For example the ragdoll physics in Arkham Asylum after you die/defeat an enemy really don't mean all that much, it's that wild flailing that makes it a bit hard to believe in the game when it's doing weird stuff like that. So while it's never a game breaker, these little touches can keep a good game from being fantastic.
I don't really care. No one should.
