I don't get why it would be a bad thing but I made this poll because that's what some people think. I'm pumped for him he looks awesome.

It's just that I supported Sonic to being in SSBB just about
every single Day sense May 2006 up until NOW.

Now all that Hate/debate/bashing all of that negativity is GONE,
and I was RIGHT.

I'm upset. there are other characters that deserved to be in the game much more then Sonic, not to mention sonic has been, and still is, a rather stupid character. the only positive thing about his addition is the song, that's about it, for me.

Yes, because Sonic is in, means that those other characters have no chance. There are very few characters as successful,well known, and iconic as sonic, nor have they reached his legendary status (he's on the video game walk of fame for a reason), not to mention he's incredibly popular and represents part of Nintendo's past, I don't see how he didn't deserve it...

Nintendo's past?

The only thing in Nintendo's past was Sonic creating the sterotype fo nintendo being the little kid system, to my knowledge. Sure, he's "iconic", but really, SSBB could do without him. I'd like Nintendo to at least and try to keep with thier roots. Solid Snake, fine and dandy. He debuted on a nintendo system, and, was suprising.

However, sonic, on the other hand, did little for nintendo. Saying competing with nintendo, doesn't even make sense.

So, The L.A Lakers wouldn't exist without the Boston Celtics? Sure, Sonic is popular. Fine and dandy.

that'd be like putting Larry Bird, in the Laker's hall of fame, because he was competiting with them. The only game's he's had for a nintendo console, have been horribly made, and have done little to help nintendo, if anything, making thier "kiddy" image all the much more appearent.  I can name at least one character that has done easily five times as much for nintendo as sonic has, and actually DEBUT on a nintendo system, and his name is Megaman. Should MEgaman be in brawl? Not nessecarily. now, I belive Nintendo should listen to the public, they should have at least thought it through a bit more. Why not just add Master cheif while we're at it? He's done as much for nintendo as Sonic has, and is more popular then god nowadays.

Nintendo's been disapointing me with Brawl lately, this wasn't the worst update they could have posted, but to me, it sure didn't help them in my eyes.

I stopped reading at "Solid snake debuted on a nintendo system". he debued on the MSX,  those were just ports, the majority of his success has been on playstation, what you just said for sonic could be said for Snake. This game is no longer nintendo exclusive, get over it.

I don't care if it's nintendo exclusive. I Like the fact Solid snake is on there. but they had to pick the most idiotic character to place on the game, while leaving more influential characters out in the dust. It's somthing called being a slave to the public. Nothing wrong with trying to help the public, but whenever you put a character like sonic in one of the best games you've made, it seems stupid to me. Just my personal thoughts on it. The game will still be good, but adding sonic is an unnattractive way of trying to get people to buy your game.

Sweet jesus, how in the hell is putting the most wanted 3rd party character in the game an unattractive way to advertise? I 'll answer for you, it isn't. And Solid Snake doing more for nintendo at the time? Are you kidding me? Solid snake has only had 5 game appearances on a nintendo console, NONE of which sold particularly well( Twin snakes, that game boy color game,Snake's revenge) Sonic has had 5 handheld appearances on nintendo, most of which critically acclaimed and commercial successes, and about 4 titles on gamecube, most of which sold well.

And about your "slave to the public" comment, Of course there going to take input from the public, because there the ones MAKING THEM MONEY and BUYING THERE PRODUCTS, of course they want the darn game to sell, so who do they put in? characters people like.
