You pussies.  I can sleep anywhere.  Hell I spent spring break sleeping on the floor in the corner of friend's room because it was more convenient than packing my poop up and going home.

LOL. As long as I can lay down I don't really mind where I sleep.

Every time I had to take a Greyhound bus across the country, I was absolutely unable to sleep until it got to the point where I was so sleep deprived that I just conked out. I cannot sleep sitting up, and the seats don't really allow for laying down even when there's not someone sitting next to you.

I physically cannot sleep in a moving vehicle, whether it be a train, car, or plane. Or bus. I just can't.
Well, until I'm so exhausted that I pass out, that is. ;_;

I dont have a problem sleeping on a plane that much, or other vehicles. Tried to sleep outside down here in the Turks and Caicos on the terrace outside of our room, millions of mosquitos O.O

Our house is full of hardwood, so when relatives or friends come to sleep over I don't mind the bottom.

Couches are nothing.
Couches with a let-out bed on the other hand are something.

Couches with fold-out beds should be outlawed. So uncomfortable.

But they're big.
And long.
And wide.
And stiff.
And they massage your body.

I like how part of this thread is a tuff guy "I can sleep through intercourse ing tornadoes!" thread.

That's OK.  Here's mine:

I had to sleep in a chair when my wife had given birth to each of our children.  I did this in a hospital, where the nursed came in at all hours of the morning.

When I was wrestling, I used to sleep in the middle of tournaments.  500-1000 people in an arena with four matches going on and I could conk out on a bleacher bench.

But that sucks with the small couch.  Next time, drag a cushion to the floor for a pillow and conk out there.

Also!  I was a Royal Ranger Gold Medal of Achievement earner, the Assemblies of God version of Boy Scouts (and used to be a lot more paramilitary), and I did wilderness survival where I slept on a trash bag under a grass lean-to.  And I don't think I get a ten percent discount at Bass Pro Shop, which sucks, because they have some decent firearms there.

Gordon Freeman used to wrestle? I'm now interested in the story of your life.

I think the thing is when you get used to a certain decibel level, you can fall asleep to it even if it's loud. Also, alcohol and extreme fatigue help.

While liquor does tend to put me out (though after a certain point, much like exhaustion, it just makes things fun) it was mainly the latter.

Just want to comment on this. I feel like I should commend you. Probably because I can't imagine sleeping at a time like that. If I was ever in that situation I'd probably be nervous or excited or both and end up staying up all night.

I wish I could sleep easier. Good job.

There have been times where I was stuck on a couch that was too small, eventually I was like 'screw it' and moved to the floor and slept better there.

A lot of people can't sleep on school buses and in classrooms, I can sleep anywhere.  On a school bus I just lean forward and sleep with my forehead on the back of the seat in front of me.  In a school desk during seventh period I will fall asleep in whatever position I can come up with in an attempt to stay awake =/
