You guys probably don't know the answer. I tried to google it and no one even seems to care as to even ask this question online.
Before the states were actual territories. Before there was a United States and a Canada, everything was owned by England pretty much. Then in boston they decided to separate. Now why on earth did the rest of the North ( Which is Canada) Not get included when they seperated and only 13 states did at first? Its not like there was a line that said they are different. No everything was a colony. So why on earth the north wasnt included when the boston tea party happened and then the war between england for freedom.......Why was only New England states invovled and not Ontrario and Quebec. I am sooo confused.

Yep, the American colonists wanted it all. The treaty ending the war wasn't clear on certain borders, though. Border issues and impressment of American sailors by the Royal Navy would later cause the War of 1812.
Later, treaties would be signed, including one that ceded a small part of what was the Louisiana Purchase in what is now Canada to the British in exchange for a larger part in what is now around the Dakotas. We split the Oregon Country, despite many Americans asking for a treaty that would have encompassed all of British Columbia. 54 40 or Fight, it was called. They ended up peacefully splitting it.
I was in a major debate about this last night at a party. So I started thinking. There was no, Canada and United States at the time. Why wasnt the rest of the colonies a part of this revolution. When now I know why, they didn't win it all.
