Title: Club Nintendo Coins expiring
Post by: The Riddler on June 04, 2011, 06:00:31 PM
Y'all might wanna check your Club Nintendo balances. On June 30th, they're expiring certain coins. I think it's a two year maximum of having coins, so anything from two years ago would be expiring. I'm losing 460 coins if I don't spend them.

Just a heads up.

I don't know what to get. The rewards aren't that fantastic.

I'm not actually losing coins. Are you sure you didn't misinterpret the message they gave out?

I think I lost some coins one or two years ago. I didn't have that many though.

Coins from 2008 or 2009 expire on the 30th.

I'm going to wait a bit longer, see if anything better comes out. If I get to mid-late June and they still have the same stuff, I guess I'll go for those Hanafudu cards.

There's really nothing interesting.
And a lot of the cheap looking rewards are a bit too high, and are not worth the effort, imo.

If nothing better shows up before the 30th then I have no other option but to waste them on something crappy.

Agreed, most of the stuff seems worthless in there. I am not even sure if I got my bag from CN that I ordered about a year and a half/ two years ago.

At least they're re-stocking 3DS's reversible pouches. I bought one yesterday.

The only real thing that interests me is the DS Rack, but even that isn't worth 600 coins.

BTW, I got my pouch. It's so good for my 3DS.

I wish I could save coins, but I have 590 coins expiring soon, so I've gotta buy something big or a couple small things. I have around 1300 total, so I could theoretically blow it all on that Game & Watch for collectible's sake. I'm really thinking about getting the Hanafudu cards; it might be cool to have a whole new type of playing card, especially ones made by Nintendo since they started out as a playing card company.

Anyone have any ideas for what I should get?

I only have 170 coins expiring. I got 40 more from my 3DS and I'll have no problem getting 40 more tonight. Guess I'll get the reversible pouch.

Aren't they going to announce what they have in store for the ranks tomorrow?

NOOOOOOOO.

This year's Platinum reward: TWENTY-FIVE pins with awesome 8-bit Mario characters on them!!!

This year's Gold reward (aka what I'm getting): ANOTHER EFFFING CALENDAR.

For crying out loud, Nintendo, be a bit more original! I don't want another calendar!!

Oh my god, I don't know what to pick. The 25 badges or the calendar?

Meh, the 25 pins will last more than the calendar. I'll go with those.

You know those small booklets in Nintendo games' cases? Join Club Nintendo and use the codes in there to register your games and get coins out of them. You don't necessarily spend a penny to gain coins online.

Check the ones that offer you to register your game. The codes are all in a paper card printed on the booklets.

That's some serious gayness there.

So once again us Gold Members remain on the repetitive line.

But in all honesty this seems to be the one and only time where I prefer the Gold over the Platinum.
