Quiet Munkey.
Those DBZ scenes are always so funny how they take SOOO long to charge while the enemy stares and does nothing to stop it, and then there are 30 reaction shots of "HOLY CRAP SO MUCH POWER!"
And this one takes a while for the super fast shots of power to even reach each other, and 30 more reaction shots.

I've returned form the depths of Hell, and it's been a painful trip.

The true measure of a man is in the amount of work he does. That's what I always say.
If you haven't figured it out for yourself yet, well then.

Actually I deduced it a while ago; I was just wondering what it would take for you to confess your identity.

But it seems you're ashamed of it.

Between that and the American Godzilla movie...

I don't think either one quite understood what made the source material popular.

Or the film rendition of The Last Airbender, if we want to get into that.

I didn't expect the movie to be directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

Or be in live-action, for that matter.

M. Night was definitely an interesting choice.
It could have easily worked live-action.  That wasn't the problem.  It was just terribly written, and then was brutally murdered by the Producers who cut it to 90 minutes.

Honestly on both the DB movie and the Airbender movie: They weren't bad as standalone movies. They're only bad in the sense that they suck at following the series stories. Take away the "Airbender" and "Dragonball" title and they're not bad. Sort of like FFXI: Good game on it's own but shouldn't have "Final Fantasy" attached to it.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.... No.

They were terrible; I mean, yeah, don't compare them to the original, and they get a WHOLE lot better, but they're still not good by any stretch (except "so bad it's good," because my friends and I laughed the heck out of Dragonball Evolution; not sure about Airbender because my brain was still rattling from disappointment).

good movies can change whatever the intercourse  they want and get away with it

in these particular cases the source material we're judging them against isn't even great to begin with

I have to disagree. If Dragonball isn't great, then not much else can be.

Agree with the first part; a movie can be good or bad regardless of how accurate it is (though I prefer accuracy most of the time).

Don't agree with the second point; The Last Airbender is one of the greatest American cartoons of all time.

You're right. Dragonball Evolution wasn't bad.
It was completely terrible!
I even tried viewing it as just a movie instead of part of the DB franchise. The acting was terrible (which is something that will always ruin a movie for me). The storyline was even worse. The only thing even remotely interesting about it was the special effects. I still wanted to walk out of the theater, though.

The characters in The Last Airbender were the most shallow, two dimensional I've seen in a movie.  The relationships between characters never developed, they were just there.
The story arc felt empty and failed to capture the audience.
Yes, by 'interesting' I meant terrible.
