Title: Where else do you frequent?
Post by: Tupin on September 27, 2012, 06:10:21 PM
Other than Silver's glorious and beloved NSFCD, of course.

I mainly go to Digital Press and Atari Age, they're a bit more focused on my preferences of games. Not much retro going on here. Plus, the activity is very rapid, but not as fast as this site used to be. Twitter is constantly being refreshed, mainly for news. Youtube I mainly watch for gameplay and reviews, as well as some shows that companies are more lax about keeping on there.

You?

Youtube
Destructoid
The Escapist
Kotaku
Joystiq

I go on Kotaku less these days because they seem to be distancing themselves from reviewing games and...well...covering game news. A review on the Mcdonald's Snack Wrap is not a reason to go to a website. Destructoid still covers games almost exclusively, so its a pretty good website. Youtube for reviews, gameplay, and trailers. The Escapist for poops and giggles. Joystiq for finding news not covered elsewhere.

Yeah, Kotaku kind of took a nose dive a couple of years ago. A video game news site launching another news site because they keep posting unrelated stuff kind of turned me away from them.

People go to The Escapist for reasons other than Yahtzee?

Yeah, its a pretty decent news site despite its initially irritating layout. Not to mention, Jimquisition is always an interesting video segment. He raises a lot of good points...most of the time anyway.

I'll admit that most people go to The Escapist for Zero Punctuation with Yahtzee though.

Just BeefGir's Funny Archives and their forums. Due to school though, I wouldn't say that I "frequent" it anymore, though I try visiting it (and here) about once a week.

I used to go to Cracked a lot too, but I just don't have the free time anymore.

I guess I frequent Wikipedia too.

Tumblr,  Giant Bomb, last.fm, YouTube, Facebook, StuffYouWillHate, MetalSucks, Brawl In The Family, ultimate-guitar.com, gametabs.net,  4chan (/v/ most of the time), and Smogon.

Most of my time I spent listening to podcasts I download through iTunes.

Eh, I don't really go to or pay attention to forums/community sites anymore. Occasionally I'll lurk at Boyah, but that's generally it. As of late though, I've been playing a bit of League of Legends or whatever generic game has come out for the Xbox. But even then, both have been declining is amount of usage.
