Okay, today at school, I got caught in a little...pickle, for lack of a better word.
I was walking down the hallway after lunch, going to play my normal game of hacky sack. I saw one boy run through the hallway, and the principal running after him. I kept walking, not wanting to, naturally get in trouble, but my curiosity got the better of me at the end of the hallway.
So, I kept walking. One of my..."friends" walked through the doors, and stopped in front of me. He pulled out a can of chewing tabacco, and tried to hand it to me, telling me to "just hold it for me for a while." I don't do drugs, and didn't want invovled.I pushed it away, and he tried to push it back to me. I said no, once more and pushed it away, and started to walk away. During the second attempt, a teaher walked in, while I had it in my hand. I was messed up.
A teacher just saw me give a can of snuff to another kid. Thank any lord that may exist, it was one of my old teachers, and my realitive. She knew I was anti drug, and knew the other kid had a histroy of Tabacco use. Well, either way, i got called to the office, along with the other kid. They asked us both questions, and looked at our record. I was clean, of course, and he had been caught four other times with chewing tabacco, however, they had to bring in witnesses, eitherway. So I had three teachers, two of which heard me, and the other that caught him, and two of my friends, both of whcih were right beside of me, and one that he tried to give the stuff to first.
Needless to say, I got off with nothing but a bag of popcorn, bought by my cool vice principal, for "avoiding peer pressure, and good decision making"
But my question is, we both could have gotton off scott free, had I decided to hide it for him, and prior to that time, he had done nothing wrong to me.
MEh, I guess I'm having second thoughts, becasue the sudden nature of the situation made me rush to a quick decision, and I've spent the entire day trying to think "What if..."
You got rid of the guilt and he got punished. Everything is right. ::) You would have had lots of guilt based on how you act if you hide it.
You did the right thing.
hey, i'd prefer the free popcorn too.
What kind of friend is that? O.o;
...and this, is yet another reason why I see no reason to have friends if they try to do stuff like that.
You made the right choice...
Wait, why were you even in the hallway again?
I used the friend in nquotation marks. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't do somthing like that. I gues, in the heat of the moment, he decided he'd rather somebody else get in trouble rather then him. *shrugs*
It's doubtful we'll stay "friends" for much longer, anyways.
I was in the hallway, because it's the only way outside, where I play Hacky sack every day <-<
I take that hallway every day, as does everybody in my lunch xP
Yeah, you did the right thing. He shouldn't get away with having tobacco, plus you told the truth. So yeah, good decision.

Exactly. I don't think most people are like that though.
