Title: End Labels for Games:
Post by: Commander Awesome on October 14, 2007, 11:58:35 AM
Ah, Atari 2600.

Hey look, an end-label! Nice and easy to store and find quickly.

This goes for most games of the period, and went on until various systems.
Atari: 5200 didn't have them.
Sega: I believe it's the 32x that didn't. May be wrong.
Nintendo: Okay, Nintendo. You were good about this, and even made up for it now with the game cases.

Look at that!
What the Fuck, Nintendo!  Would it have been that hard to put one more sticker on the carts?

With the NES/SNES games, I can put them on a shelf and find them uber quickly.
With the N64 games, I have to pull them out, glance at the art, then push it back in just to find one specific game. ololo

God forbid we take that extra second to look at the front of the game to find out what it is.

But then I have to find the case, open it up, pop the game out, and shut the case.
That's 10 extra seconds I could use to play the game.

If you put a label on the side of a DS game, would it even be readable? So small...
