I hope it's still good, even though they're taking out all of the religious stuff... >_<
I mean, thats kinda the whole point of the books... I can't imagine the series without it. I hope they manage to compensate for it.

I think it's ridiculous that companies would try to remove religious material from a movie to avoid negative remarks. Seriously, the movie is marked as fiction, so treat it as such.

this is no "The Da-Vinci Code".
if they were to leave in the religious remarks, Christians around the world would be appalled and would be in a complete uproar. it would be banned in multiple places around the world. You thought Borat and The Da Vinci code were bad? this is much worse.
though I know people should treat it like fiction, The Da Vinci code was equally marked as such, and it received alot of flak.
you really should read them though. the series is called "His Dark Materials", and it's incredibly good.
