The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
It's about a very assertive girl who forces ppl to join a club that has no point, and later you find out she's God :P It's a seinen with some crazy action scenes.

It's about a female otaku and her friends. It's a slice-of-life comedy/satire that makes tons of references to other anime and video games.
Azumanga Daioh!
Another anime about Japanese schoolgirls. Kinda like LS.
Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
A crazy angel from the future with a spikey bat named Excalibolg tries to stop a kid from being a pedophile but really all she does is interfere with his life and repeatedly (and bloodily) kill him and revive him multiple times each episode in a comedic manner.
