Title: No, just no! Crayola comes to the DS o_O
Post by: Kita on October 27, 2007, 08:56:08 AM

*laughs so hard*

Who here thinks Nintendo is rather pathetic with this game? I mean COME ON NOW!!!

Sure they want to bring in gamers of all ages. They use ads for Brain age geared toward working adults and now this o_O.

It's rated E for everyone but seriously it looks like it would appeal to 5-7 year olds. Under 5 really can't comprehend and over 7 would probably get bored.

Still for some reason I actually want to try it. LOL

A couple things...

Under five year olds can comprehend games pretty easily, especially ones like that. You're underestimating them. I played games at that age.

Just because a game like that is coming out doesn't make Nintendo pathetic. It's not like it's being developed by them.

Nintendo has to make games like this.  It makes them a better company because they can appeal to younger kids and they make more money by selling EVERYONE games suitable for them. Frankly, I'm congratulating Nintendo!

By the way: I've been playing video games since I was 2 years old! :D

I beat Super Mario World by myself at age 3!

Like she said, Nintendo is trying to market games toward all audiences and ages. Nintendo makes consoles and games for all gamers.

Yeah? So maybe the game is geared torward younger players. That doesn't mean it is a bad game. ;) I mean, it's not like you are forced to go out and buy it. Heck, you even said you wanted to try it! :D

I have no problems with games like that. Especially if they do provide fun for the target audience. :)

"Additionally, not all of the coloring book pages and crayons are available from the beginning – you have to unlock the majority of them by playing through the game's story mode."

I wonder which color you get when you beat the game

maybe a rainbow crayon :O

I think they're taking the "gamers of all ages" ploy a little too far.

Children that young do sometimes play video games, you know. The EO rating exists for a reason.

You are so right...... that game looks like it could be for 1-2 year olds even then i would think that doing it in real life would be more fun.

At under 5 I was playing Sonic and Zelda games pretty well, thanks. I think a kid under 5 could get this game rather easily. But, I don't know many kids that age that even have a DS, so I don't see much of a point for this game at all.
