According to the CGA report, while men are just as likely as women to play casual games, the fairer sex is much more likely to pay for these games (women make up 74% of paying players).
You know you like casual games. You're loading up a game of Bookworm right now. Don't be shy. :P
Well as a female gamer I can say that I'm not really a casual one. I mean I do grab a Sonic game from time to time and that's basically what I would say my casual gaming side is like.
I'm RPG all the way! So when I get a game that I really like I'll just play it none stop for a week till I beat it XD. Yet I can go like a month without playing any games. That comes with being 25 working full time, being a Minister and being an Admin on a very active site.
I have no shame in playing Brain Age...:P
Geometry Wars, suckas.

I <3 the demo.
I'm sorta casual (In games that COULD be casual, metroid, halo, etc) but always do the hard stuff (hard mode, legendary, ranked, blah blah.
I don't see why they should be ashamed at all about playing casual games. I'm a girl--but still consider myself an avid gamer. I won't try to defend that by hiding that I also play casual games -_-
I'm all for games that can be picked up and played, but I don't think of the genre as my favorite. I'm more of a semi-hardcore gamer.
I would take a game of Half-Life 2 Deathmatch or Counter-Strike Source over a game like Brain Age any day.
