Title: How do tournaments work?

Hey everyone.  After linking my account to the guitarhero website, I saw that they have tournaments.  How does this work?  Has anyone joined one yet?  I was just wanting some explanation.  Thanks in advance!  :-)

From my knowledge, you join a tournament by clicking the "join" button.

Then you exchange friend codes and play each other.
