I won't be here much this weekend. Verizon is sending me a new one that should come about Monday.
I managed to move the computer and use a direct Ethernet connection. For some reason, Windows doesn't work with that, I'm using the Ubuntu LiveCD now. How do I get the internet to work on Windows until my router arrives? I have the ability to download files now.
I think Dell has it (they made the original computer including motherboard), but I don't know what driver to get :-\
Clicky (http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_CEL_1100&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=)
On a side note, the customer support person at Verizon said that I probably should get some other router as well with better wireless since my room is so far away from the corded connection. Does anybody here have recommendations for what router to buy? It has to:
Support wireless G
Support Ethernet input
Be affordable
Work with the Wii and DS/Lite
Support good internet speed (my FiOS connection goes up to about 5 megs per second)
Well, there's no need to say works with Wii/DS, since they work with G ::)
