My first was actually Pong for the Atari 2600. My first Nintendo game was Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario World
My friend two doors down from me had an Atari and some of my family members that lived a state away had an NES with a ton of games so I got to experience of lot of those two worlds.
It wasn't until a few years later that I had my own system and games. What I got was Super Mario World bundled with the SNES.
I was so.. innocent.. I guess that would describe me back then.
First level.. I walk along.. I encounter a "turtle".. and while just holding right on the D-pad.. I say outloud, "Hello, Mr. Turtle :)" and I walk into him and then bam! The music stops, I stop moving, everything that's happening on-screen has stopped, then there's this terrible tiny screech from my character followed by my character staring back at me in horror as he pops up and disappears off the bottom of the screen accompanied only by death music. It was really startling. I asked my mom what happened.. it just flipped my reality. I had only wished to talk to the turtle. That day.. I realized the truth of games... and the world. >_>
My first game was Duck Hunt. Hah.
Mario Bros or Pitfall for the Atari 2600 system.
Wario Land 3 for the GBC.
Something for the Famicom. Can't remember anymore.
