I have to lead a prayer service tomorrow, and do a "write-up" of what I'm going to do. I have certain requirements, like "modifying classroom environment to reflect prayer theme" and other s***astic things. I hate my Catholic school, really. Here's my "write-up":
Quote
Environment: Lights turned off.
Introduction: Declaration of theme (world peace), expounding thereupon. The theme was chosen because it is my opinion that peace is paramount in any society and especially in the avaricious one we live in.
Main Prayer: Colossians 3:12-15.
Reflection: "Imagine" by John Lennon. Lyrics apportioned. A note to consider the lyrics and their significance.
Closing: In closing, remember that peace is important -- "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people." (Romans 12:18)
I like that I'm playing Imagine for a religious thing.
Oh my! My non Catholic ways are somewhat appalled by forced religion, but IMAGINE is a good song!
I'm not religious but going on the theme of peace, Imagine is a great song choice.
Good luck in your project anyways.

Well yeah, except for in a religious setting lines like "Imagine there's no heaven", "and no religion too" might get some attention. :P
Omg, I have to sing for church. ;-;

You could digitally cut them out if you fear that they'll be taken in offense, then. :P
LET IT BE KNOWN IT WAS MY SUGGESTION TO USE IMAGINE

Half the point of the song is to be roguish in such a manner, you see. :robottongue:
Imagine is a great song.
The part where he sings about no religion might lift a few eyebrows though maybe you could say a disclaimer? :-\
You have fun with that now.
