I've had this old compy for a long time...it used to be our only computer but then me and my mom got new ones a few years ago so it's kinda sitting in my room. It's a 1998 low-end HP Pavilion that is so messed up software-wise that you are guaranteed to get the BSOD about 3-7 times on average each time you use it. If it goes on screensaver when the computer is still booting up (which takes about 10 minutes) the computer freezes on the BSOD and you have to shut it down manually.
Specs:
550MHz AMD64 processor
20GB HD
64MB RAM
no monitor
probably outdated CPU and sound/graphics cards
So...what should I do with it?
xplosun

Keep the RAM and Procssor

If I were to keep anything, it sure wouldn't be the HD. It has gone past the point of no return.

An 800MHz Athlon 64? Pix or it didn't happen.
But you should install Linux on it and use it as a spare. Or a Folding@home machine.
