Title: My Ridley Analysis
Post by: Ridley on November 09, 2007, 08:03:46 PM
My Ridley Analysis

Ridley is a staple in the history of Metroid. He was the one who destroyed Samus's home colony and killed her parents hereby making her a bounty hunter. Ridley has been mentioned a few times on the Dojo and even has his own music. This shows that he will be incorporated into the game somehow. Some people believe he would be too big but the picture below from the Super Smash Brothers Melee disproves this.

Ridley could have alternate costumes that portray him as the different forms he came in throughout the years. Costumes such as these would include: Meta-Ridley, Boney Ridley, and an array of others. Ridley has often been seen flying around.

His ability to fly has led me to believe that he is pretty light otherwise he would have a hard time flying very high. This being said Ridley would be a below average weight with high jump capabilities. He also has a long, spiked tail and long arms with claws. This means he should have  long range attacks with above average power. He also has sharp teeth to use in throws and such.

His Appearence would have to be this: He would be in constant flight aout a few inches above the ground like mewtwo. He would straighten his body like in the melee intro so he wouldn't have that much of a hunch.

My moveset would have to be this:

Smash Foreward: Slashes with both claws straight foreward.

Smash Down: Slashes his spiked tail like Yoshi's Down Smash.

Smash Up: Puts his claws in a cross above his head and slashes straight above him.

Strong Forward: Swings his tail foreward like Mewtwo.

Strong Down: Head butts straight down.

Strong Up: Bites straight up.

A button: Small Slash.

AA : One small slash and one medium slash.

AAA: One small slash, one medium slash, and a weak Cross slash.

Dash A: Rams foreward like in Prime.

Grab: Grabs foreward with his claws.

Foreward throw: Pulls his arm back and thrusts you foreward.

Backward throw: Turns around and slashes his tail into you launching you backward.

Up throw: Puts them in his mouth and tosses them up.

Down throw: Slashes tail downward like Mewtwo.

Neutral ariel: Spreads out wings and works like Mr. Game and Watches parachute

Foreward ariel: Bites forward in the air.

Backward ariel: Slashes backward in the air.

Down ariel: Sticks tail straight down and lands like Link.

Up ariel: Flips upside-down and sticks tail in the air like Yoshi.

Neutral B: Plasma Blast. This is chargeable if it is uncharged it fires three fire balls forward in a row. If you charge it, it becomes a beam varying in damage depending on how long you charge it.

Side B: Tail Shot. Shoots his tail foreward. If it hits from a long range, he will grab you but if it hits close it just does damage. Like Bowser's Koopa Claw but vice versa.

Side B foreward throw: Head butts them foreward.

Side B backward throw:Throws them like Bowser would.

Down B: Blast Flame. Shoots flames straight down and they come up as a wall of flames in front of him.

Up B: Flight. Flies in any direction you aim at. Works like Diddy Kongs Up B.

Taunt: Does that screech we all know and love.

Final Smash: Flies into the background and shoot a beam of phazon straight foreward across the screen. You can fly left and right while firing the beam.

Special note: TamJammerz I am in no way copying you I just always wanted to do a Ridley analysis. ;) Thank you.

Dunno. Its fun. But I find it ironic that Ridley uses Bowser. Willis, is your name Will, Bill, Walter, or something similar? That would explain it.

Good job with the analysis.  Ridley would make a great character.  Brawl needs more villians and characters who can fly so putting Ridley in would be a great choice.  We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Once again, if we're going off of the Melee intro, Ridley was only a little bigger than Samus in that.
