Title: Rewatching the director's cut Evangelion episodes.

Episode 22, the one that explains Asuka's relationships with her family and the Eva pilots.

I forgot how messed up this series was.

Eva's good, but Ideon is better.

It was a weird series in general.

Still a great one though. My second favorite anime.

I'm not one for giant fighting robots as a genre, but I had heard great things about Evangelion.

Oh, I agree. The whole series was fabulous, so was End of Evangelion.

Eva isn't much different than Ideon...well, Eva takes place in the modern era, and Ideon is almost twice as long. You should watch it. It was made in 1980, so there's zero chance of it being liscensed.

Shinji fapping wasn't enough?

That was in End of Evangelion. I'm talking about the main series.

And besides, I would've done the same.

Personally, I was absolutely terrified of the episode Ambivalence. I really don't think I could watch it more than once.

For the record, that's the episode where the dummy plug and Unit-03 face off.
