Well, my English teacher only allows one late paper for full credit, and any papers after that are half credit and must be handed in the next day.
Well, at the beginning of the Semester I handed in a late paper, and I got 20/20 on it, but the front page said "Late 9/10", so I figured I misread the thing thinking it really said "You get one late paper for half credit and after that you get no credit"
So, after I missed a paper I just didn't do it, I did this for a few papers. Last night I re-read my syllabus and it clearly states that we get one late paper for full credit and subsequent late papers are half credit and must be handed in on the next class.
Well, now I'm intercourse ed because the teacher is an idiot, and I'm missing a lot of papers.
I have two options.
1)Withdraw and take the class again next semester.
2)Press my luck and finish up the semester hoping that I somehow pass.
She's such a ninny. She also accused me of plagurizing my paper, as well as giving me negative comments on the paper for making anti-capitalist comments in a paper, which I find to be fair ground since the author insulted socialism and those who help the poor. The teacher hates me and now I'm intercourse ed.
Teachers are supposed to ENCOURAGE opinions. :-\ If you are a Socialist, who cares?
Have sex with her.
INSTANT EXTRA CREDIT ^_^
Withdraw. Why the hell go through that torture and still get a poopty grade (unless this is a pass/fail option class)?

Oh, I'd give JMV 10000 extra credit points. ^__________________^
I'd drop the class and take it next semester with a different teacher (hopefully).
...Starting over is good, but I think trying is even better... I think you should meet with her and calmly try to come to an understanding. Be assertive in your position and question as to whether you can turn the assignments in for at least 25% credit. If she is stubborn about it, then start over, but unless you go to a large university, she should be willing to meet you at a common ground if you prove to her you care about your performance in her course.

Basically my organic chem class this semester in a nutshell, but it's not that the teacher is bad, the material is just horrifically hard.
I chose option number 2, but that's only because I have to...med schools would consider a withdraw grade a sign of weakness (as if a straight C wasn't bad enough already).
Probably have to take out a Master's degree in anatomy or something after college if I want in now...
thats the same poop that happen to me JMV. except my fuking teacher only gave me one option.
1. finish the stupid paper
2. Drop the class.
My Spanish II teacher is a ninny too.
I love how she wonders why we have poor grades, when she says she doesn't have time to answer our questions in class, when we have nearly an hour left. That, and she never collects anything, instead making us hold onto things until the end of the quarter.

Wow that sounds awful. I'm happy I don't take Spanish. ^_________^

My dear, it had more to do with the teacher than the subject, methinks. :P
Maybe you should murder her and frame a classmate.

No, I hear the children in my school always complaining about their Spanish teachers too. ::)

Well, the Spanish teacher at my school is great, and he has a very high passing rate for the AP Exam; I actually wish I'd taken Spanish instead of Latin.
Maybe it's regional. :P
While I was in High School I was lucky enough to get teachers who couldn't teach for poop. Most were dumb as hell and couldn't do their jobs, so I was a fairly mediocre student. Got ridiculously high test scores, though.

In my Spanish class. She explains things once at a ridiculous rate. Much too fast to take notes. And then wonders why no one knows anything. Luckily half of my knows knows Spanish already, and are just to lazy to use those two years learning French, German, or Sign language. :P

My Calculus teacher is like that... so many notes, so little time. I already have 100 pages, front and back, of notes. O_o
