Title: What kind of student are you?
Post by: Insane Asylum on November 11, 2007, 06:11:31 PM
Me?  A procrastinator who got grades ranging from F's to A's, but largely got B's and C's.  I work better under pressure so I often put things off.  Although I was still much smarter than most people there.  Despite my grades my test scores were absurdly high in most respects; hell, tests were often reasons I passed my classes.  I was also in a special program for smart people.

So... basically intelligence hampered by laziness.  Nothing new there.  What about you?

I get all A's but I hardly do my homework on time, seeing as I'm a procrastinator.

I have a 2.17. I don't have any F's (yet) and no A's either. I think I'm smart, I just don't care. I know I'm smarter than everyone else in my school though. ;3

I also have a big essay and a book report next week and I've yet to start reading my book, or even thought of a topic for my essay.

I always get high score on the state tests and finals though. :0(

4.0 student, waits 'til last minute, puts little-no effort into long term projects, still gets A's on them. >_>

The student who slides though school with a 4.75-5.00 GPA.

I also love how everyone in this thread is making the excuse that they're not trying, and that it's not trying that gives them really low grades. They then go on to say that they're still really smart.

I'll tell you, I try as little as possible as well. I don't do any notes, and I usually just do other homework instead of paying full attention in class. I occasionally look up to see what's going during lectures, and that's how I get the information.

If you don't give effort in school and still claim you're intelligent, you still should get A's 90% of the time.

Well I tend to get B's and C's I hardly ever get F's and D's but sometimes ill get the occasional A.

Sometimes I balance homework with leisure time but other times I do em in the middle of the night or at school.I never study hard just one glance and thats it. I still do well on tests though.

I procrastinate too. :P Who doesn't?
I really don't like school. It seems pretty worthless to me. >.>
I don't know what I would do if I were in public school. :P Homeschooling is so much better for me. :)
I'm smarter than average though. I have a College reading level and all that. And I used to be in AP classes. I could make strait A's if I wanted to, but I really don't like doing the work.
So, lazy and unmotivated. :P

You learn to worship the MC on AP's. The free-response are ridiculously complex, and you usually have 3 to do in 2 hours. :'(

The kind that:
01. Almost always gets A's on all tests
02. Does about 1/2 or less of the homework
03. Knows everything that the course will teach before it even starts
04. Is bored out of her mind every day during school
05. Wonders why everybody else is so stupid
06. Is in honors classes yet doesn't think the qualifications for said classes are high enough
07. Does most of the classwork
08. Has assignment grade listings show many A's, many F's (0%), and some B's
09. Stays quiet during class and avoids drawing attention
10. Wants to be homeschooled-and will be starting mid/late 2008.
11. Has no friends and doesn't want any
12. Never is annoying to the teachers
13. Is tired often
14. Either procrastinates on something or finishes assignments before they're even assigned, usually the former.
15. Thinks of homework as pointless since she already knows whatever and doesn't need to do 50 problems.
16. If suddenly placed in a 12th grade course (and is currently in 9th), would probably pass with an A or B if she actually did the homework.
17. Never studies for tests yet gets the best grades out of all her classes on tests.

The good thing, however, is that you can't lose points on the essays. You start a 0 and work your way up to the max of usually 9 or 10, and they can't take points off. On Math and the Applied Sciences however... x_x (Never forget to put negative numbers in parenthesis)

In fact, that's kind of what I'm like, though, I should start doing more of my homework.

Note to all of the kids who are getting As in HS without trying: Don't try this in college, you'll get burned. Badly.

Most everyone in college is slightly less, as, or more smart than you are. You might be able to BS your way through a state school where they serve you 20 or 30% curves, but if you go to a small, private one, better learn how to do homework and do it well.
