Title: Is Best Buy usually this problematic? =/
Post by: King_Gamer28 on November 16, 2007, 06:15:37 PM
I've ordered two things from them, to be shipped to my house, via preorder a good while before the games were released.

Both times the items were backordered and took longer to ship out.

Is this normal for Best Buy to have to backorder items like this, or was I just on the sour end of their problems two out of two times? =/ Like, should I avoid using them as a preorder retailer in the future or what? Anybody else use Best Buy for this?

(I'm talking about preordering games on their site, in full, and they then send them to you once they have them in stock. Both times, though, they were backordered. Ugh.)

Best Buy frequently has less stock and variety than other stores.
Or at least, that's been my experience with them.

I don't think other retailers have options to ship the game to you, though.

Use an actual game store to preorder, Best Buy is only like 1% games, so you hav a low chance of actually getting a game there, preorder or not >.>.

Oh, and im prety sure Gamestop does ship to you.

Back orders are queued. Best Buy gets X amount of stock, and they give it out in the order that people signed up. So what you experienced could happen anywhere.

That's why you're supposed to go out to the store and not be lazy, KG.

Looks like you won't be playing SMG until that break anyways, huh?
