i mean im kinda worried about the lag i dont have very fast internet to much lag would eaisily ruin the expeiraince
I just want to know how much lag there will be in intercontinental brawls. I have good internet and good connection with my Wii. So the only problems with lag I'll face is because of distance. Sakurai didn't say how bad the lag would be though. We don't know if it will be bad, or okay if you have good connection. That's the only thing that's bothering me.
yah i can see that
A little lag is ok, but I'm kind of worried.
Any lag is too much lag.
Fighting games, especially Smash Bros., has very little room for lag.
Some Smashers, including me, play Smash Bros. by frames, and even a little bit of lag can destroy an attempt at a shffl, or an advanced technique like that.
I'm actually happy about the lag. You won't half to use advanced techs to win. The choices would be:
Use advanced techs -- might win, but boring :|
Play the way it was meant to play -- have fun, but lose
So a little bit of lag helps noobs have a chance to win too :P

You're just being sour because you probably can't even use advanced techniques.
It takes no fun out of the game.

Yeah...
If anything it makes games like SSBM even more fun, because new opportunities for combos and another maneuvers are possible with advanced techniques like wavedashing and shffling.

i suppose
I doubt it they did use Japan and America as the example.
It shouldn't be too bad as long as you just want to Brawl against people in the U.S.
Though lag will probably pose a threat when someone has a really bad connection, I think that the developers are going to make it as lag-free as possible, and during most matches, lag will not really be an issue.

Guys, he's only stating his opinion even though it looks like fact in the way he said it.
Anyway, I don't know how to use advanced techniques but I don't really care and I don't care if other people use them.
And about the lag we'll never know until we try. Do you think we'll at least know where our opponents are from?
prob be like mario kart choose local or world
I dont know...probbaly the same type of thing as in MSC...and MSc barely has any lag in it for me.
im not sure, i play tekken onine a lot and lag is a huge problem, but the matches can be good still but both players obviously have to have good connection
but through experience the wii has better connection capabilities compared to the ps3
doesn't matter cus I've got really fast internet. So if im about to play someone with low speed internet, I would cancel the match.
