PaRappa the Rapper was the first ever music game ever made. It was created by Rodney A. Greenblat for the Sony Playstation. The game was about PaRappa, a paper cutout dog that raps, and he's in love with a talking flower named Sunny Funny. But there's another handsome dog in love with Sunny, so PaRappa tries to rap and find ways to make Sunny fall in love with him instead. The game is now on PSP with a multiplayer mode and online content.
After the success of PaRappa, Konami created the arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. Then after DDR, Rodney Greenblat created UmJammerLammy, a game similar to PaRappa but this one is about Lammy, a paper cutout sheep that plays guitar.
Who else loved PaRappa the Rapper and UmJammerLammy?
I own Parappa 1 and Parappa 2.
It took me forever to find an original copy of Parappa 1 and it cost like $25 used.... ::)
