Pretty soon we're going to have to run a mile :'( I can't run a darn mile this is going to suck. :-[
So, to avoid sounding self centred... Do you guys have to run a mile also?
Yup.
I ran it in 9:45 last year, which is pretty good for a fat guy >_>
I love gym. No homework.
And, also, learn to live with running the mile. I have to run a mile every day in class, and I have class 2 or 3 times a week.

Hm.... That must suck. But then again I has gym everyday. ::)
I enjoy running the mile. >_>
Sometimes. In track for 7th grade, I had to run a mile everyday, then walk 2 miles home after it. Track being everyday. Try that.
But for school, we run the mile like only once a month. I've already did 1 mile run and 1 mile walk (Easy. XD)

We run it twice a year.
We run like 2 miles. Don't cry about it... :)
Anyway, we also play some pretty fun games, like this ball game, soccer, and other things. But most of the time we just run.
Well, look on the bright site: you probably won't have to take it next year.
A mile isn't that hard. Just don't go too fast right away. You'll end up being tired, don't worry about it.

We run it twice a year.
Once during the winter and once during the Late Spring/Early Summer?
We do it in late May, usually, the worst time to do so -_-
Nope. This year is the first that PE isn't required. It makes me very happy.
Well all of you people saying you have to run the mile a lot what are your times???
Ya, I run the mile. I did last year for Track. But I wasn't good at all. XD

I did a mile in like 7 or 5 minutes. When I was in grade school, I was the fastest at my school.:P
First place everytime.... If somebody beats me, or gets close to me, that would be the talk of the school for a couple of days.
(NO seriously.)

Nice. I would never be able to do that. When I ran it last year, I got 12 minutes even. I'm aiming to get at least one minute of my time.
I run TWO miles in P.E.
Under 30 minutes.
That's not difficult at all...
In our gym class we had to run about 4km (~2.5 miles), and I had no problem with that.
Are you really out of shape? o.o
We also did it several times a month.
thats nothing back in high school i would run 3-4 miles after school every school day
on a BAD day I would run three miles in about 25min
i had to run a mile today.
i felt like throwing up when i finished though.
:/
Your schools are messed up. We run a mile EVERY day.
Gym is EPIC win. Nothing beats a good game of dodge ball.

I love PE, probably because I'm in football too. PE is easy poop compared to our football workouts every day.
I don't have gym for the first trimester; I have health, then two trimesters of gym. But yeah, my friends that already have it were saying that they have to run a mile.

Well, I ran that mile in 8:24 and proud of it. Better than last year by 8 seconds. Pretty good for someone who isn't a jock or something. Did better than all of the non-jocks than one of them. I was, oh, a minute and a half faster than the person behind me.
Try some yoga. It stretches the crap out of everyone. We have to do it every now and then.

I am an American. I'm not bragging. I'm not the most athletic person in the world.
I look like I'm in shape since I work out but it's very deceiving.
When I run the mile I can never get in the eight minute digit. :P

The only person I know who couldn't run the mile is fat, lazy, and sits on his ass all day.
And I know people with asthma that can run the mile.
My gym is the best. We are basically allowed to do anything we want, including fighting if we have the sudden urge.
Anyway, you really need to work out if you can't run a mile. O_o

Gah, stop telling me that. :'( Hell, I can't run with my pants on to begin with. :-[
I have to run in the mornings before school during swim practice. I sorta enjoy it. We usually run for 20-30 minutes at 5:30 in the morning. I haven't ran the mile since last year though. I think my time was 6 minutes something.
Yeah, that sucks. I got 7:50 last year. :)
IMO gym is the easiest "A". (Excluding T/A)

I like gym because last year we played soccer all year long.

7:00min mile ftw :).
We jog 25 mins and see how many laps you get. Seriously. Once every two weeks...
