How? I just need a decent program free of cost. (If there is one) That can get rid of spyware for me. I logged on windows, and I'm getting the little notices in the bottom right corner. Talking about the presence of spyware in my system and whatnot.
if think AVG has a free down load for that ;)
Zone alarm might be good to have too
give me a minute to get you links ;)
......um there's good news and there is bad news :-\
Good news:

K, thanks for helping. I'll keep searching.
NO!!! Getting a free program to get rid off spyware/adware/viruses is a big mistake. They tend to bring more pollutants with them, especially Dr. Spy (I think that's its name) and anything called "Win_____". So, unless there's some miracle software I've never heard of, you'd be better off buying one. IIRC, Wal☆Mart has Norton for $30.

Ok, though, I haven't encountered any with names like that yet. I tried one call Ad-Adware. It didn't delete all of them. But got most of the ones it showed, and it seems to have worked. Those little popups abut countless programs have been severely cut back. And I haven't seen any negative effects yet. I hope this works. :-\

Umm... doesn't it seem a little weird to use a program called Ad-Adware? I mean, listen to the name. XD
Well, if it works, I guess that's what matters.

Yeah, I also read a little about it.
Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition The full name is obviously not as good as the ones you pay for. But it seems to be working. So it'll do for now. :P
AVG Anti-Spyware works just fine.
I don't understand how people get spyware though, I've never really gotten any, stop going to bad sites >_>

Even worse than AVG. :x
Is Spybot ok? I just tried a scan and it seems to be working more. I only get a small notice now. :O

It's alright...Ad-Aware is slightly better, but I prefer Spyware Doctor.

Not like I care.
Spybot Search & Destroy is allways a good anti-spyware program IMO

Zone Alarm Free is only a basic firewall. The pro package has the anti spyware.
Anyway, try Spybot Search and Destroy or AdAware.
Trini we all know why you have spyware, but I think you should just by Spy sweeper.
i didn't bother reading all the posts but www.download.com lets you download free things, most are trials but then there are torrenting sites like piratebay.org (a lot of the torrents dont work almost all are illegal and some may give you problems like viruses so i dont recommend this site) download.com is good.......
Well thanks people. But I've solved it for the most part. Got spybot and Ad-adware, whihc both helped me tremendously. Thanks for all the help people.
