Well, my family finally got a new TV after seven years; and it supports full 1080p. But last night when I was going to try and play Mass Effect on it, I couldn't figure out how to get it to work. I plugged in the HD/regular color cables to their matching color holes to the back of the TV (outside of the yellow one which had no hole to plug it into) and still no dice. I finally unplugged the three color cords that the DVD player always works in and plugged in the 360s just to see if it'd work and I got sound but no picture.

Syncopathic

you probably forgot to change the switch on the cord

Are you useing HD cables or AV cables?
HD should be Red, green and blue (for video) and Red and white for audio
AV should be Yellow (for video) and red and white for audio
