I just read "of mice and men" today........

 And like you said it was a good book.But I was like :( at the part at the end.I wont say it so I don't spoil it,but if you read it you know what i'm talking about.

The movie rendition of the scene at the end is really bad. You expect him to do it really slowly, and then have it kind of drawn out. Instead while he's talking he just raises his arm and it's over with in like a second. It's really, really lame.

kinda reminds me of the "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" movie.  They screwed up key moments and ruined it.

Eh, I hated the book. Better than most books school has forced me to read (NOTHING WILL BE WORSE THAN "Into the Wild"). It was still kinda bad though.

I thought it was one of the better books we read in our 10th grade curriculum (along with The Catcher in the Rye).  Sad ending though, as others have mentioned.

Ruined it? They might have changed stuff, but the movie version of Cuckoo's Nest is still a darn good movie.
