It would be cool but it'd only happen if they had some sort of an adapter that you plug it in to either make it plug into the WiiMote or in the GameCube controller ports

I think there are adapters that hook up to the GC ports, but not sure if there are official or licensed 3rd party ones.

Do you know how many ports that would require. They would have to make an adapter. Although if they did do that then they could start to market NES, SNES and N64 controllers again and probably in a modernized form. But Nintendo did have its reasons for making a one in all controller, because it is more convenient compared to having to sort through 20 controllers trying to find the right one.

Fun idea, but it probably wouldn't be all that convenient...I don't have the classic controller for the VC games. I was wondering if I really need one since most of the games can use the Game Cube controller. I'm not at home, so I can't look at the moment, but are there any VC games that the only controller is the Classic?

Looked...and I don't see any reason to buy a classic controller since I have GC controllers and they work on everything.  ;)
