Animal Crosser/Smasher/Smashvillian has better chances than you think. He/She's been talked about in an interview, and there's already a representing stage, item, and Assist Trophy...

Black Shadow is the most likely candidate to stand next to C. Falcon in the F-Zero roster. Since Samurai Goroh's been booted, Black Shadow might actually fulfill his dreams of "defeating Falcon in front of a million fans". Black Shadow has been the central villain for many games.

King K. Rool... Need I say more? He has such high chances that it's incomprehensible. Donkey Kong, as long of a running series as it is, deserves another character. King K. Rool would fill up, not only the DK slot, but the villains slot, as well ;)

2. Animal Crossing is not a fighting game, making it hard to create a moveset, and with the stage and item, it made it even less likely, AC is also in the background of the stage, and the item lessened a chance for that to be a move AC could've had (even though it's an unlikely move anyway).
3. Black Shadow is from a racing game, if they put him in, they'd have to make up ANOTHER moveset that fits him, but non-cloned.
4. King K. Roll, the enemy of Donkey and Diddy, but in SSE, Bowser stole Donkey's  bananas, BOWSER, not "someone"/KKRoll, Bowser did, thus, killing KKRoll's chances.

3. Prepare to be proven wrong once my Black Shadow analysis rolls along.

4. The point of SSE is to intertwine the characters' stories. You can't intertwine them by always having Bowser attack Mario, King K. Rool attacking DK, Rayquaza attacking Pikachu, or any other franchise villain battling their own nemesis... What would be the point in the SSE, then?
