Hello, much like my 15 minute Brawl thread, this will be a thread dedicated to one of the most annoying modes in the game...the 100 Man Brawl. In case you didn't know, one of the challenges (to get the Blue Alloy trophy) is to beat this mode with all 35 character spots. Why Sakurai decided to piss us off so badly, I haven't a clue. But I'm going character by character to help everyone out in this mode.

The game is relatively easy until about 3/4 of the way through where the alloys just SWARM you and don't even let you get back on stage well. Apparently whomever programed this mode thought edguard meant edgehog to the cheapest degree. Your best bet is to use uptilts and smashes to finish people. Also, ITEMS ARE YOUR FRIENDS! Use them to win. These will generally help clear guys out in a quick and orderly manner.

Mario's balance is what actually hurts him. His up tilt will KO, but sometimes it won't. Which is odd considering it usually worked well before against these guys. Also, his Up B doesn't KO unless it's the TOP of the punch. This is a real pain as the up b was a good way to KO before. I did this by using items and standing towards the edge and spamming up and forward smashes and up tilts. This one is going to take a few tries...

Luigi is essentially a worse version of Mario... His up B doesn't ever KO (besides the super punch), and basically he's a little less out of control. Use the same tactics as Mario and you can win. Also gonna take a few tries. Use forward air to help clear out airborne enemies...this move can actually kill decently

Peach is MUCH better than her plumber saviors in this mode. Her up tilt is your new best friend. It always kills, and even has some hitboxes in front of her. Upsmash also works well, and forward smash can clear out enemies in front of you. Her recovery also allows Peach to escape the edgegrab trap that happens when you get to high. Peach is easy to use in this mode, I did it on my first try...

There is a reason why Bowser is one of, if not the WORST character in the game. He's too goddam slow to be of any real use in this game. Just about any move he uses will kill, the problem is that later in the mode the swarm is much too fast for him to do anything about it. The only plus Bowser has in this mode is that his edgegrab attack (press A while hanging off the edge) will clear out enemies letting you get back up. So far Bowser has taken me the longest to do because of his slowness.

I swear the stadium mode was created just to give DK some use. Most of his moves are rather good for KOing Alloys. Downsmash is one of the better moves to use since it first hits above DK, then both sides. Also, up tilt and up air are good ways to kill. DK is one of the easiest ways to beat this mode.

Diddy is one of those odd characters for this mode. He's good, yet he's bad at the same time. Many of Diddy's arials are very good, yet his smashes are horrible if they don't connect on the final hit. Stay in the air and use tilts rather than smashes. Also, do not get stuck trying to recover...Diddy's jetback will be a huge liability in this mode since it'll mess up Diddy's attack pattern greatly.

Yoshi is the surprisingly good character of this mode. Take advantage of his unmoving double jump, and spam Down B the entnire time. You can KO all five alloys by using it, and you are going to at least do damage regardless of whether they hit you or not. Yoshi's tilts are also good, but hard to connect. Spam down B and this mode will fly by.

Wario is so far one of the worst for this mode, since most of his moves do not KO, despite him being a power character. To KO with Wario, you need to land a clean and direct hit with all of his attacks. Up tilt and the clap (up arial) are his only decent kill moves in this mode. The motorcylce is also a good KO move, but only at full speed. Use the Wario Waft for EMERGENCY's ONLY! It will save your life should you get knocked off stage at high percentages. Wario will definatley take a few tries.

Link, like the rest of hte game, is a mere "meh" or "Okay" in this mode. He's heavy enough to not really get sent flying, but isn't fast enough to take a real beating. Up tilt, up smash (at times), down air, and up air are your main forms of keeping alloy's off of you. Spin attack is incredibally helpful later in the mode. First hit always kills, and second hit always keeps guys off of you. You will use it later when the swarm hits. Also, do not get stuck trying to recover back on the stage. Link is strong, but not strong enough to handle that situation.

Zelda, not Sheik, is who you should be using here. Frankly, Sheik is uneeded. Zelda's smashes are instant kills, but her tilts work better. Forward tilt and up tilt work very well, since they have decent range and power. Also, Din's Fire also kills, great for clearing far away enemies. Much like Link tho, zelda can't handle trying to get back on the stage. Hide underneath platforms and use uptilt to get most of your kills.

Ganondorf is the good Bowser in a sense. Upsmash, neutral A, and most arials work well against he alloys, and keep Ganondorf moving so he doesn't get stuck in one place. NEVER GET CAUGHT USING UP TILT! You will get punished later in the round. The main focus is to keep ganondorf moving. Due to his horrid recovery, getting knocked of the stage a decent distance is pretty much death. Stay in the center, and use arials to clean house. Ganondorf shouldn't take more than one or two tries.

Ah, Toon Link, the "good" Link. Upsmash is much more effective, and arials actually kill in this round. However, down air is a meteor, so don't use it on airborne enemies. You're just wasting time. Also, his forwad smash only kills on the second hit, so don't get caught using it while using Toon Link. He has a better recovery, however Toon Link is much more easily KO'ed than his older counterpart. Do not get caught trying to get back on later in the round. Stay in center, or hide under the platforms. Use Spin Attack as a last resort to get guys off of you. It won't kill the alloys, but it'll clear some space to flee.

Samus is the one to stick with here. Never use ZSS under any circumstances. Samus' moves rarely kill on the first hit...which I find rather odd. Stick with up tilt undnerneath platforms to hit alloys, and use Super Missles to keep them off your back. Super Missles require two hits to KO. Screw attack kills, but leaves you open. Only use to recover. Samus will take a few tries, but she isn't frustrating like Bowser was.

As you would expect, Pit doesn't ever kill on the first attack. Most of his kills come from the second or third hit of a standard combo such as up tilts, up and forward smashes, and his neutral A combo does kill. His recovery also allows some arial attacks without having to grab the edge. Pit is easy to beat this mode with. Just hard to get the rythmn going to use him.

The Ice Climbers are another easy way to beat this mode. Upsmash is killer, and forward tilt also does well. If you have the abilitiy to de-synch, use it, since it'll help you get through all the faster. However, don't use up tilt, since it pretty much does nothing to help you. Easy squeasy lemon peasy...

ROB...my most hated character. Actually, he's fairly decent in this mode. Up Tilt and up smash are instant kills, and forward tilt does a decent enough job. A full charge lazer kills, which is nice every once in while to get guys off of you. His recover also avoids the trap at high damages. Use downsmash to clear out guys swarming you, and basically just hide under platforms the entnire time. Another relatively easy one.

Kirby's light weight is a sever liability in this mode. Frankly, don't ever take a beating as Kirby. Stay in the air out of reach of the alloys. Like the 15 min. Brawl, the Rock is your best friend. Fly up, rock, repeat. It's not origional, and you will take some hits, but none of Kirby's moves ever kill besides the rock and hammer (b smash). So stick with the rock. It's not terribly hard, just it might take a try or two.

Metaknight is a much better Kirby. Up tilt, up smash, forward and down smash all kill and are pretty quick to boot. Metaknight is also pretty quick, so use that to your advantage as well. Just don't use forward and down tilt, since htey do nothing, and try to stay out of hte air unless youre using up air. Those attacks do nothing and will make your time in this mode annoying as all hell...

DeDeDe is one of the easier characters to use with his weight and power. DDD jump (up B) works, although not to the extent it did in the 15 minute Brawl. Up tilt works perfectly, since DDD is tall enough to reach through the platforms and hit with it. Do not use smashes, since they don't kill for some odd reason. Use forward tilt to keep guys away, but don't try to kill or combo with it. Stick with up tilt and DDD jump to crush these stupid alloys...

Much like Olimar's normal gameplay, it all depends on what Pikmin he has with him. Any white pikmin should be thrown of stage immediatley. They are completely useless. Yellows, Purples, and Blues are the best ways to kill using up smash and forward smash. Olimar doesn't kil well, but he's somewhat effective to combo these guys. Up tilt kills, but is hard to use, and his dash attack also kills. Use those in combination with the smashes, and Olimar isn't so bad.

Fox can't kill worth a dang in this mode. Back air is the only thing that really kills on a consistant basis. However, that shouldn't discourage you from using up and normal smashes to get kills.  Fox Illusion (side B) also works very well, is near instant kill, and a great recovery tool that helps you from getting trapped on the edge. Fox takes a few tries, for some odd reason. However, he's certainly doable on the first or second try.

Falco is a better version of fox. Uptilt, Up smash, Forward Smash, and most airs actually kill, so Falco shouldn't be much of a problem to do this with. Still use Falco Illusion to get grounded enemies, and to recover. Lastly, use the blaster if you're far away. It won't send them far, but it stuns them which is good for when the swarm hits towrds the end. If you can do it with Fox, Falco should be easy.

Wolf is a better version of Falco. Near all arials kill, all smashes kill, up tilt kills, and even the blaster at close range kills due to the knife on it. Just don't use B smash or you'll probably die. If you can do it with Falco, you can do it with Wolf. Another easy one. I recommend using back air most of the time, but that's just me. Just do whatever is most comfortable.

Captain Falcon for some odd reason can barely kill these guys. Obviously smashes work, but they're rather laggy so I don't recommend constantly using them. Combonation of Raptor Boost (side B) and Falcon Kick to kill these guys. Try to stay centered tho, or else you will get stuck in the trap once the swarm hits. For some reason Falcon is tough, so don't feel bad about needing a few tries to do him.

Pikachu is an easy character to use for this mode. Thunderspam of course works rather wel when hiding under a platorm. Up tilt and up air also work well, but merely to get people away from you. Use forward smash sparingly, and keep using thunder spam to get all your kills. The yellow mouse's above average recovery will allow you to stay on the platform for the entire match.

Pokemon Trainer is one of the harder characters to use since it is basically necessary to change characcters in the middle of the match to keep them from getting tired. Squirtle is hte best of hte three. Use Upsmash since it hits on both sides and above underneath a platform. Recover using withdrawl (side B) since it is an instant kill for the alloys. Ivysaur should use Up tilt under a platform as the main form as attacking. Up smash and up/down air also work, but are a little too slow for my tastes. Skip charizard, since Rock Smash is his only decent attack in this mode.

Lucario is an annoying character to use for this mode. At first at low damages, only up tilt will bother to kill. Hide under platforms and kill. Once Lucario gets to about sixty percent plus in damage, standard A combo, forward tilt, and a few airs will kill, but stick with up tilt. Of course smashes kill, but due to their slowness I wouldn't use them. Use Double Team to get back on stage if getting hit by the swarm.

Gr...I hate Jigglypuff in this mode. THe puffball is one of the worst in this mode. So light she'll get herself killed at around 120% damage, which is way too low. Basically every design flaw Jiggly has rears its ugly head in this mode. Too slow, too light, too weak, all of thse are problems. The only good KO moves are up air and side B. Spam those while flying around the stage. This one will take multiple tries. Jiggly is actually worse than Bowser in this mode X_X;;

The first lord of Fire Emblem as everthing you want for this mode. Speed and power. Up tilt is a great killer move, and all airs at least do decent knockback. All smashes kill, and Marth's speed keeps him from taking too much damage. Like the rest of the characters, hide under a platform and spam uptilt and forward smash to stay alive. Do not use dancing blades (side b) tho, since it doesn't do a whole lot. Also, stay toward the center since Marth can be caught in the swarm. Marth was my second fastest time.

Ike is one of the easiest characters to use. Every move can kill, but he isn't so gosh for saken slow like Bowser. Upsmash hits forward, above, and behind, so it kills everything. Aether will get guys away from the edge so you can recover, and generally Ike is a "duh" choice for this mode. Eruption is also a good choice to use in this mode due to it's super armor effect. Ike is a good character to use for the timed 100 man challenge (I blieve 3 min. 30 sec.)

Ah Ness...my annoying earthbound character that I don't like. Ness is a difficult character to use in this mode, since most of his kill moves, well, don't at times. Up smash, up tilt, and down smash can all kill, but also can't due to the way the moves work. Home Run Bat (forward smash) is hte only definitive KO move. PK Thunder (up B) will kill, but since it's a one alloy shot, not the best to use during the swarm. Run for your life and swing away with Ness...he's rather hard to use.

Lucas...the fixed version of Ness. One of the most overpowered in the game is of ocurse good here. Upsmash, PK Fire, The stick, Down smash, nearly everything kills. So basically have a ball killing these things. My main strategy is to use PK Thunder. Unlike Ness', it'll go through alloys AND kill them. You can easily get four kills on one PK Thunder. Spam the hell out of it and you can beat this mode in less than three minutes. My fastest time by far at around 2:40

Flat man is the second hardest to use in my opinion, since other than smashes, he has no difinitive KO move. Up tilt and forward air are decent KO moves, but are hard to connect due to their limited range. My main suggestions are up tilt and down tilt to KO most of the time, and use items like your life depends on it. You also should just pray for some luck. Flat Man is a tough cookie.

Snake is a character you think would work, but doens't really. Up smash, up tilt and normal A combo work great, but for some reason can be hard to connect at times. I suggest throwing grenades around the stage to kill at long range, and camp under a platform to uptilt/smash to kill. Luckily the Cypher is a great recovery, because Snake is suseptible to the swarm towards the end of a round. Basically keep your distance and don't let them get close to you.

Sonic is one of the easiest characters to use in this game for one simple reason. Nearly everything kills. Most airs, ground moves, and specials will Kill alloys, so go to town destroying these guys. My main strategy was to use the Spring (B up) and down air to KO alloys in a quick and efficient manner. If stuck on the ground, dash attacks will also work well. If you can't beat this mode with Sonic, good luck doing anyone else.

Well, there you have it. Strategies for all the characters to get the Blue Alloy trohpy in the challenges section. I hope this helps anyone having trouble trying to do this. It took me about two hours total to do all the characters. So it isn't THAT bad of a challenge, just an annoying one.

Ridley

I got the blue alloy trophy yesterday. A little late for me. I can however help you out if you want.
...Friend codes were probably implemented by the same people who wanted tripping in Brawl...
...It's quite obvious...

Triforceman22

Nice!

Yeah. Ike's upsmash is godly for 100 man...

I was gonna beat it in less than 3 min 30 sec.
But the last guy. (your character) delayed me. He kept dodging my attacks!
