i am thinking of getting jam sessions and i was wondering is it a game you play alot or is it not going to be played alot?  Is it a fun game, are the controls difficult, are the songs new, how many songs are there, is this game popular

It's an OK game. They could have made it a lot better. The controls are very simple and there aren't too  many songs. The songs are OK, not extremely new but there are a few songs worth playing. I have only played this game 3 or 4 times and I've had it since October.

The bottom line is: this game, in my opinion is not very good, It's fun to play every once in awhile and you can just do a free play, where you can just play your own songs, but the replay value is very low. I give this game a 1 and a half out of five.
Will edit sig later...:P

Well if you look at like it's a game then you'll probably be a little disappointed. It's more like a virtual guitar than it is a game. It is pretty cool but i haven't used it that much. You'll probably end up liking it more if you invest the time in it to learn how to play your favorite songs on it or make up your own songs.

It's a terrible game.  The only reason I bought it (and expected that it would be good for) would be to practice ear training for chords on the go.  The songs that comes with the game are just the guitar part, so you really can't groove with them too much, and there isn't a rating system or anything to watch your progress.

It's really helped me with improv in Jazz band though, because I fail at playing chords on the guitar  ::)
