1. Capcom likes Nintnedo...Megaman has been on Nintnedo since the NES...so he can't be Mario's Rival (unless they CONSISTANTLY do real megaman games...not htis "X" or "Battle" junk)

You're right with Capcom and it's Megaman series not being a threat to Nintendo. 1-6 was on the NES, X1-X3 was on the SNES, Battle Network was on the GBA, the Zero series was on the GBA and, ZX is now on the DS. OS most of the franchise was with Nintendo.

Now on with Master Chief, He could be Mario's rival when not including gameplay. Like, Let's say when it comes to the systems they represent. He wouldn't be a rival with gamplay included because as you say, it's a completely different genre. Sonic and Mario were both platformers and they were HUGE rivals.

The last one is just any other game. It was on Nintendo's rival system (PS1 at the time) but, the game wasn't geared for rivalry between Mario. It's just a game on the PS1. Like you can have Forza Motor Sport which is on the Xbox right? Sure it's on Xbox which is Microsoft which is Nintendo's rival but, it's just a game for the system. I'm sure it wouldn't try to rival Mario Kart even if it's sorta the same genre.
