They're also making "I Survived A Japanese Game Show" which seems like a cheap sterilized and commercialized version of that genre.  That's the last thing we need: a corporate TV network screwing up one of the last remaining quality forms of entertainment.

it's american...so you know they won't do a take on something foreign right.

It's just too bad they can't do some of what makes those game shows so crazy because of safety laws.

Don't most Japanese game show tasks involve some kind of physical injury in exchange for a prize/getting the wrong answer?

I seem to recall one time they hooked up a car battery to a man's nipples and shocked him when he answered the trivia questions wrong.

I had also seen this one where they stood in front of some weird looking thing while saying a really long tongue twister, and if they mest up, that weird looking thing would smack them in the balls really hard.
