Nayrman

Moving into my dorm room tomorrow, going off to college (I'm still within a 40 minute drive from home but still)
Any advice from other college NSFers? XD

Tupin

I'm not going to college, but my brother is.

He moves in on Tuesday.

Advice? Sure. Just don't worry. That's all the advice you really need. Moving out and living on your own in a dorm room is easier than it sounds.

How many credits are you going for this semester? If it's only like 15 or 16, you should have a pretty easy time with classes too...especially if you take classes that are more lecture instead of homework.

Yea, I have:
Calculus 1 (mandatory for pretty much everyone)
CS 1315 (basic programming and computer stuff)
LCC 2720 (I get to mess around with Photoshop and Flash for a semester weee!)
Sociology (just to get some social science credits)
GT 1000 (freshman class...show up and get an A XD )
I think it's 15 hours total.
At least I got to Georgia Tech and I'm the middle of a city, so I'll never be bored. :)

Oh, I had an easy time with Math because I never had to take any Math classes in college. I passed the AP Calc AB exam with a 4, so yeah.

Your list looks fine. The only other advice I have is to be really careful that you don't overload yourself with classes. Trying to get out of college really fast isn't worth all the extra stress. Make it fun instead of a big chore.

That's the usual workload for pretty much all the freshmen. You should see my roomate's workload as a freshman:
Calculus 2
Japanese 2
U.S. History post 1866
and one other insanely hard course.
I feel bad for him.

Trust me I am a total slacker so there is no way I'd overload with classes. I'm good at math and social sciences so I shouldn't have too much trouble with those, and the other two are computer classes (and I need to run the Adobe stuff for Flash and Photoshop now that you remind me XD ) so, hopefully, I should be fine. Moving in tomorrow with classes starting on Monday. Hopefully I can get my computer and games online early tomorrow....the whole campus is wireless supposudly XD

Doodle

That's cool. I'm a freshmen NSFer. =P
YEAH

you get to mess around with flash and photoshop, eh? Cool.

I'm online...hooray!
In my dorm room and everything is fine for the moment!
PS3 online as well, but the Wii is being RETARDED and can't connect to anything ;_;
