Question about Final Fantasy 4 (and other suggestions)

Okay, well, I'm going on a trip on Friday. I would like to know if this game is worth it.
I loved FF3, even though I sucked terribly at it, that is the only problem. I've heard this game is very difficult. Would I still be able to enjoy it?
If it is like 1000x harder than FF3, feel free to thoughEdit: I'm leaving that in there because it is like WTF. I wanted to say recommend, any games.. though? I mean, what the hell.  and any other games I should buy out there. I would like a fun DS game.

I've never played a Final Fantasy game before, but I know much about the series as far as how the battle system works and stuff. My friend gave me FF4 for the DS and I honestly don't think it has been ALL that difficult like other here have been saying. Has my party been defeated? Yeah, about 3 or 4 times, but I've never been defeated at the same spot twice and have not back tracked for additional training, just knew wha tI was up agaisnt the 2nd time.

It's a tight game.

Um.  I dunno some of the optional side quests are pretty difficult but I don't think the game as a whole is 100 times harder than any FF game.  I don't think any FF is 100 times harder than another one.
