My backyard is a forest and I found some clay and made a cup with that but... more importantly I think I found a weasel track, so anything like that ever happen to you. ( Like you actually got out of your houses.)

There are woods behind my house and I venture into them every now and then...there was a beaver dam there...one day it just vanished, poof, gone, I can't imagine someone being able to get rid of all those logs in such a short time...

There's not much in my backyard, I can't hop the fence, as it's not a chain-link fence anymore, so no woods for me :(

My backyard is a highway and a graveyard. My front yard is the ocean. Nothing really interresting going on there.

So you went out in your woods and found some animal tracks? WOW THAT'S AMAZING. Try building forts, having mud fights, playing hide and seek, and race through your woods. It's lots of fun. You're not the only one here who goes outside you know.

Well, my backyard is just a bunch of grass with some trees, but I sometimes play Ultimate Frisbee with my friends back there. It's fun. :)

Not at all. Sometimes five year olds have the right idea. Don't just sit around and talk about your favorite cartoons, go out and do something. If you have woods, utilize them, if you have a back yard, use it.

As much as I prefer indoors to outdoors, I have to concede that "maturity" is not always the correct route.  Often one has to resort to what some would call childish behavior in order to be truly fulfilled emotionally.

A good example is LARPing.

" Where were you?"
" What do you mean?"
" You've been gone for over ten hours. We thought you died."
" Oh, well, you see, I was a wolf king. And I was in the woods. I danced a little, too."

Good times.
