Ok, so iwas trying to open firefox (and still am.. i'm using IE at the moment....) and it keept saying "Software Update Failed", and keeps repeating that not letting me open the program. But this only happens in my section of the computer, the other sections it's working fine in... so.. why would this be happening? and how can i fix it?

Sounds like something happened during the 3.0.2 update.  You might have to reinstall.

I'm going to get this obligatory statement out of the way:

Have you tried installing Linux?

Why did I say that? Because whenever anyone makes a thread about a computer problem someone always suggests this.

QuoteIf the problem continues, you can manually reset the Software Update feature by closing Thunderbird or Firefox and deleting the active-update.xml and updates.xml files and the updates folder from C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
